all sorted. pcv valve had broke and was staying open+++

At least it was not the transmission after all.

Good news short lived. Have a squeak again. I part I rev the engine and when I lift off the gas it squeaks like a loose belt or pully bearing. :Confused:

it seems to be the diy pcv vale ive made. if I take off the one way valve and stop it from sucking the crankcase the sound down near my gear box goes away?????

Guess it needs a proper replacement and not the DIY approach,
