She sounds like an emotional type of lady.
By the sounds of it tho - she will warm to it. I suggest letting her drive it +++ |
Its beginning to sound like there's a Princess Di theme going on here - "There was always three of us in this marriage..." Its a complex thing keeping the relationships balanced. My wife does drive the 8 mainly as I insist that I am not "precious about it" (I am) but that if she doesnt drive it she'll want me to get a "more practical car" - like a Honda Jazz automatic! She does like travelling in it and she does get a kick out of driving it. The other day she pulled out of the drive and and accelerated up the road with her foot to the floor knowing I was listening. The exhaust crackle was tremendous. I think the lesson is to let them get used to it. Or follow the Librarians examp-le! :tuttut:

I had a phone call from Mrs303 this morning apologising for crying and that the car looks a lot nicer in daylight +++
She's got a lot on at work, we're moving house and she's got a stinking cold so I believe her when she said she was feeling a little fragile when she rolled up last night and saw the S8 blocking the drive. I think/hope that this is the start of a long and enjoyable relationship. We'll be using it a lot this weekend so she can perhaps start to see what the fuss is about. To me it's gorgeous; I'm totally with you there Laird. To her - at least before she's driven it - it's just another old-looking Audi. |
