Ok, cheers.

Is it a new handle job, or just a sensor within it? Any idea how easy a fix it is?

Might just let the dealer sort it the next time it is in under warranty. Not a great loss though as I've never had it working to appreciate the benefit of it!

New handle (or at least fiddling with it from inside). Unless it's the main module, then it's more involved.

Definitely worth a warranty job if you can swing it.

I have warranty on my car so will get it done the next time I'm in with something else.

Bizarrely out of the blue all my door handles have decided to start working properly. I no longer have to lift any of the handles for the door to unlock, just touch them and they unlock. I have no idea why they started working, all I have done recently is change the wiper linkage and motor.

My PF had some gremlins with the keyless which was a result of water ingress, it was always a bit dodgy after it had been raining.. Took the garage months of fiddling to work it out, and about a week and a half to dry the car properly!

Where is the ECU for the keyless located, I wonder if its worth taking a look at the connections.

Faulty door handles seem another common issue.

We need a group buy and cheaper handles for everyone. +++

Funnily enough both passenger side handles on my car have started to behave properly this last week- unlocking just as I put my hand under them.

Both drivers side handles still need lifted to unlock.

Drivers door has started to work too!

Is there a specific module that controls these? I'm wondering if water could har damaged it?

It sounds like water is getting in and when it all dries out it starts to work again.
