Oh no! Hope no one was hurt. Write off I guess...

Same as others, hope nobody was hurt, and if not, post some photos if it's not too painful

Sadly, it's inevitable.:-(

My PF S8 was damaged (stolen and crashed) many years ago and the biggest damaged part was the rear quarter-panel on the drivers side (around the filler flap). That is a huge and expensive single panel to replace and the insurers were certainly thinking of writing it off until I insisted they found a very similar car for me first as it was very definitely repairable - an impossible challenge!
That car (the grey one in my signature) was worth at least 10 times then what yours was before the collision.

If the rear panel damage isn't too bad someone could probably fix it up with spares from A8parts, but given the comments above there's not likely to be anyone motivated to do that. :(

Here's the damage, as you can see it's gone through the rear quarter to the wheel:

That's a real shame, as it looked great in those photos.

So sorry for your bad luck - hope it turns out OK and like has been said, hope no one got hurt :(

Wow. That took a nasty bang. Glad at least you're okay. I trust the van driver stopped, and he's liable for the incident.

All the best, no doubt it'll be written off. Aluminium body repairs are super expensive.

I'm ok, got a bit of minor whiplash but nothin. Serious. The van driver was very decent about the whole thing, accepted liability straight away, was fully insured and have me all his details right there and then. The insurance company are coming to pick the car up this afternoon and I'm on my way to collect a rental car for the next few days.

what a shame, lovely car, an almost certain write off sadly
