Ainarssems is right, +/- 0.3s is not very accurate. If you want accuracy best to look for a gps with sampling rate of 10 times per second, then accuracy should be +/- 0.1s
But, its good fun to be able to use VCDS, who wants to throw away £400 on a Performance box meter or similar.

the cheapest performance mod is to run with your fuel tank almost empty. If its a 90l capacity, you could drop around 60kg, which could improve your 0-60 by around 0.2s

Another big factor in this as you say Goran is weight, this is how the 8 looked when I did my run. I’ll remove it before I pick up that towel that Marcin threw down. http://forum.a8parts.co.uk/attachmen...1&d=1402310725 :snigger:

 , still smaller (load) than a caravan I was pulling lats night on the dual carriageway when doing this run which was filled in fully with books :D and a smaller engine (than yours) :D

Try fitting the roof box to the bonnet next time, you never know, better aerodynamics may actually help you to break into 7.5sec

If not, then park on the top of a long hill and then do the run (with the roof box still fitted to your bonnet

:pint: for the 3.7s (the new 7.3) +++

I was pulling one of them last night

OK, I get the point, but if anyone will do exactly same runs via VCDS then we all will have accuracy of +-0.3sec, and lets don't forget that this is just for fun +++
...and to shut Mr Dezzy :D

PS. Dezzy, if you decide to to the down hill run to improve time, you may actually attach the trailer to the front bumper as it will take you down hill even quicker than without it +++

Lol! +++
I'm loving this competition, can we make another A8 meet out of it with everyone cheering the two of you on?

Ahh but the prize was for the most desireable D3 and ditto D2 and that's a different thing than the best presented - for which Marcin was up there. +++ And there were some VERY desirable D3s. Tonupkid's S8 was classy but Marcin's exhaust drew eyes and ears from a 500m radius. Chuckletinlegs looked the dogs whatsits with the wheels and ceramics so its was all about the subjective desires of the voters. BrianG will, no doubt, post the winners of two classes if he can remember as I for some reason have forgotten :o

Perhaps you should have opened the bonnet and shown off some chrome jubilee clips or something. Did NOBODY notice the classy black dice!? That was worth a vote or two! :p
I cant believe you beat me! What with the highly desirable, classy vavona/twist interior (so much better than all black) ;)

tintin 10th June 2014 01:23 PM

If we had a vote for who's the most competitive of our bunch, I think I know who'd win...;)

You beat me to it, I was about to comment on that......"Winning isn't everything, but it beats anything in second place"....as William C Bryant once said.

Marcin has it scribed on his sunvisor......
