Just want to report back that Moog rear upper arms are shot after 2 years - especially the offside. Will be getting TRW or Lemforder. Cannot recommend Moogs.

Lemforder FTW.

Thanks Scott. Just replaced both upper arms on the off side using Lemforder. £107 for both from mister auto. Funny how much easier it is the second time, especially after greasing everything that seized. The Lemforder look great and had a black coating non the ball joint pegs. To be fair, the Moog front was fine and the rear probably ok for another year or two. I found the culprit of my knock is the anti roll bar links. They looked fine when the car is on the ground but not after jacking up and taking the wheel off.

I changed the drop links on my daily D3 but it was the anti roll bar that finally got rid of all noises and squeaks +++

Yes, I had Audi replace that 2 years ago due to ship creaking timber noises. These noises came back this winter - it had better not be that again as just out of warranty too.

The ARBs tend to squeak when they are cold until the movement has warmed them up and that's often due to the bushes detaching from the bar and rotating around when cold

Ship creaking timber is a good way of describing it. My ARB bushes need doing fairly soon, one is really creaking in the mornings and going over speed bumps.
