Neil, I'm "more likely", if not quite "definite" yet (as discussed by 'phone)....so 2 related questions:

1 - To you - what time's the BBB, and are there still spaces for that?
2 - To David - are you travelling down in the morning (unlikely), or the night before?

Hi Steve,
I will be driving down early Friday leaving home at 0600ish so crossing the Manchester/Warrington line about 1000ish. Heading for south of Bristol to stay overnight. A bit early for you i suspect if we were thinking of joining ina convoy of two?

richardracer 8th October 2016 03:45 PM

ADI signing on for track driving - commence 08:30

Hi all,

My joining instructions recommend "arriving 8am onwards for signing-on, the briefing sessions will commence at 08:30am in the Stratford Centre. The first laps will start at 9am."

If BBB is from 07:30 to 08:30 and we need 30 mins to get to circuit does that leave enough time for 09:00 laps? As a newby, just checking with those who have previous experience, since we have booked 6 track sessions. Subject to that, pleased to confirm 2 for BBB (Richard and Ben). Can you give us post code for Bolingbroke Arms please.

Cheers

Hi Richard
From past experience people arriving etc and chatting means we don't get breakfast under way until just before 8am quite often, and then leave at 08:30 to convoy 30 mins to the track arriving at about 9am or just after, so you would need to be there about 30-45 mins ahead of that.

Because you are staying at the Bolingbroke however, you may well be able to ask for brekkie for say 7am or worst case 730am sharp (speak to Jo the manager and she will let you know what they can do) so then you may be able to dash off to get there for say 8:15am and sign on and attend the briefing sessions from 8:30 to get on the track for 9am.

If you are in Swindon early enough on Friday evening let me know and I can either pop over and be sociable at the pub or even arrange some tickets to the local arts centre where there is a comedian on that evening, but I would need to know numbers to book tickets +++

Sorry Richard - I had in my mind that earlier you had said that you would be staying over the night before!

Anyways I spoke to Simon at the Pub yesterday evening and told him that you may want to have brekkie at say 07:30 sharp and that can be arranged so that you can say hi then eat and dash off if you wish? Let me know either way for numbers etc.

£20 for External Valet or £40 for External Valet and Spray Wax application giving 3 months protection.

If anyone wants to book their car in at a specific time then let me know and I'll sort it, otherwise you will be queuing up if any others are there first.

Hi Guys & Girls,
Just to let you know I have decided to stay overnight on the Friday, so as to avoid the early start Saturday morning.
I managed to get myself booked into Lydiard House Conference Centre, Lydiard Tregoze, Swindon SN5 3PA for a great price of £40.
Bolingbroke wanted £70 for the night
If anyone fancies meeting up on Friday evening, either where I am staying or at Bolingbroke, can you let me know.
If not, I will see everyone for the BBB early Sat morning
Looking forward to a great day on Saturday. Lets hope the weather is kind to us
Thanks

Yes please - aim for 08:15-08:20 and we will be leaving at 08:30 sharp after youve been given your stand pass. When you arrive at the gate they will ask you for £10 per head entry for each person in the car (unless you have bought track time in which case you will have an entry wrist band)

I presume from this none of your group is having breakfast? (Just need to know for numbers)

Just two days to go now before Audi Driver International 2016 at Castle Combe on Saturday October 15...

Plenty planned for you to see and do, with Audi UK pulling out all the stops to put on a great display in the central paddock. Their latest model line-up will include SQ7, A4 3.0 TDI Saloon, R8 LMX. S8 Plus, RS6 Performance and Q2
and you'll be able sign up ( over 17s only ) for the chance of a hot lap passenger ride around the track in the R8, driven by e-FPA champ Steve Warburton!

Audi UK is giving away 1000 goodie bags containing The Audi magazine + a USB stick and several other items...

Audi is also celebrating 20 years since its 1996 BTCC victory, with an A4 quattro on display, plus a replica of the 1980 Audi 80 GLE that Stirling Moss drove in the BSCC, as well as a 1979 80 GTE and a 2005 A4 DTM Edition.

Keith Butcher will have his Audi STW A4 No. SF 37 on display and AmD will be bringing their BTCC S3 along for display and demo laps on the circuit.

Plus: Show ’n’ Shine + Concours, a record attendance from the specialist Audi trade, many of whom will be running their demo cars on track, parade laps, club track sessions and some awesome club displays... Entry is just £10 per person, children free of charge, so don't miss it!

See www.audidriverinternational.co.uk for full details or call us on 01525 750 500 or email adi@autometrix.co.uk

MikkiJayne 14th October 2016 09:45 AM

Hi MikkiJayne

There is a layby half way down the A350 between the motorway at J17 and the turning right around the chippenham ring road, its about 2.5 km off the motorway - see map

We will be passing there at about 08:45-09:00am if you wait there +++
