James,

bring the kercher anyway. I'll sort something when I get there.

A8_Tony 5th June 2009 07:09 PM

I'm bringing a 30m lead as well :), just a few more and we can make it all the way across from the tap to the club house :)

Despite some last minute dramas (try finding a replacement track rod end at 4pm on a friday) the scabby '8 and I will be there. Does anyone have a clue what the nearest services are to the M1 / M25 junction are? I'd like to follow oli and our german brother up but can't think of somewhere sensible to meet up.

Bill

Ps Despite claiming not to care I did wash two weeks of grime off on wednesday evening to make a wash and polish easier this weekend. So far three seagulls have emptied their capacious bowels over it. A message from the man upstairs?

Hi Bill Toddington Services will probably be the first that both of you would get to - between junction 11 (luton) and junction 12 (toddington)

Oli18 6th June 2009 08:24 AM

Thanks Architex_mA8tey,

Bill - fancy meeting there between 8:15-8:30?

This will be my route this tomorrow morning if there are any other takers :)

(A) Wandsworth
(B) Christian the German pickup in Croydon
(C) Toddington Services
(D) the meet :)

Conan_the_Librarian 6th June 2009 04:54 PM

At Ground Zero just waiting for the BHP to climb over 1000BHP

Singh 6th June 2009 05:06 PM

I would be up for that but I don't think I am going on the Fosse.. Am going up the A46, M69 then the M6. Which route are you and James taking?

tintin 6th June 2009 05:09 PM

tomorrow's meet

What's the form for signing up for this? - is it turn up and pay on the day?. I'll probably be there, won't know for sure till late this eve.

Oli18 6th June 2009 05:11 PM

Hi tintin - yes everyone is more than welcome and you can rock up last minute if you want.

Hope to see you there mate!

I'm so psyched now! :)

I fitted new pads today as i couldn't turn up with the squeel of death coming from the front pads lol.

It turned out the pads that were on there were fitted wrong with 4 of the 8 front pads being in the wrong place. It's hard to explain but it because obvious very quickly why the squeel of death occured looking at it!

Anyway, also gave the 8 a quick clean today and all i need now is a German passenger & fellow convoy 8 owner and we're good to go :D

Cheers Oli,

See you there - I've just removed the surface marks from a slight swipe from White Van Man last weekend, so the car looks a wee bit better now...:)

Now at 1680BHP. :)

billblank 6th June 2009 07:03 PM

Yellow sponge, scabby duster and mop bucket in the boot :) I may bring up a new sponge to wave in the direction of a certain gorgeous black S8 just to find out how fast I can run the hundred yard dash. :D.

It's a lovely evening down here, the wife is out with friends for a birthday meal so I think I'll go and wash mine and, maybe, just maybe, polish it. Though I have just this second realised that I've left the pritt sticky pads at school that I was going to use to affix my plate. Bollox.

Bill
