Bring em both... +++ I really want to perv a bit harder at your 6, but other folk probably want to see the D4....

I'm happy to come to the dealership / you and pick up/return the D4 if it helps. I would genuinely like a spin in one..... It would be interesting to see how it contrasts to the D3 and A7......

Sadly I'm a definite no; family meal that lunchtime.

I remember trundling down the M40 from the last event there, in driving sleet, secure on my new winter tyres.

I've said possible on Facebook, but in reality we're doing West Country and back 24th and 27th Dec and I've then got to drive back again on the 31st to take my Dad to hospital, so not sure I can face a solo drive to the Midlands as well.

If that changes I'll let you know :)

The old boat has been cleaned and so is now 'presentable' for my first meet.
Do I need to wear a pink carnation so you recognise me, or will the fact that I'm driving a blue D2 S8 bellowing through a Miltek be ok?+++

tc4332 27th December 2014 06:53 PM

Hi All,
I had plans to make my old lady look smart for tomorrow's meet but she gave me clip and told me to behave.
Seriously with the current weather and the amount of grit and salt on the M ways any polishing would be a waste of time. So I am afraid the quick wash my A8 had today will have to be enough. Hopefully the Annual meet will have better weather and a proper clean will be worthwhile.
Being stranded overnight near Mansfield last night meant I was short of time today. Yes, it was the snow, but not the A8's fault, I was in a Merc:o

Dont worry too much Ray, there is a hand car wash in leamington spa nearby if you're feeling desperate but the winter meet is more about saying hi over the festive period than judging how clean the cars are! see you tomorrow +++

What road is that on, do you know? I was planning to stop off at one in Banbury on the way up from Oxford (where I'm presently staying after a whole, looong day of visiting in Southampton yesterday), but it would be good to have a second option if the Banbury hand car wash is closed.
