In fact, considering the state of the world's economy, and the impending economic disasters, comparing the value of one cryptocurrency against another cryptocurrency may soon by the only reliable measure of value. |
S9 should be back in stock tomorrow for shipping at the end of November. Might be worth buying considering that there is now competition for mining BTC and BCH so returns for mining are better. Any future split could also offer more choices to mine and increase competition and return. Will see what the price is tomorrow.

The profitability of my S9 certainly jumped recently. If you look at the 30 day graph here you can see when:
https://new.nicehash.com/profitabili...in-antminer-s9 So it seems NiceHash are mining both chains. The increase coincides with a period a few days ago when BCH suddenly became much more profitable to mine. During that period my S9 was making about £30 per day when it had previously been making half of that or less. It's been fluctuating daily but presently making in the region of £15-£20 per day. |
Looks like I missed out on S9, did not check it in the morning, then site was down for maintenance at lunchtime and now not available again. Will keep checking back to see if there is limited qty available again if somebody did not pay in time or whatever. Like it was with L3+ when I missed out initially and then it became available again for short time. Probably would like to get D3 as well. I think it would be a good starter kit 1x L3+, 1x S9 and 1x D3.

I might consider ordering a D3 too when they're available. What's the present ROI on those? NiceHash doesn't seem to support/list them.
Haha, a D3 and an S9. Shame they don't do a D2 and an S8! :D |

At the moment it's through the roof, it will go down but still should give good return. In couple of months time if you do not have D3 or A5 it will probably not be economical to mine dash.

Wow! That is high!!
That's the D3? .... Where did you find that info? Maybe I'm going blind but I'm just not seeing it in NiceHash's profitability hardware list. |
Ripple seems to be doing OK, I bought a little a while ago and now it's like +70%. I did not buy much so not much of a gain. Would like to invest a bit in Dash and Monero as well but Monero options are a bit limited and dash after a stable period has gone up now so not sure if I should wait for price to drop before buying it.

I think Ripple is a good safe haven investment, in the short term at least. It has strong ties with the banks and, as such, many people don't consider it to be a true cryptocurrency in the fully decentralised sense. I think it'll be around for a while and I think its price will continue to gradually increase, I just don't see it as a high performer (though I could be wrong). I bought a lot of Ripple a year or so ago. I sold most if it when the price went up but I'm still hedging my bets by holding on to 10,000XRP.
My best performer currently is NEO (formerly called Antshares/ANS). It's like a Chinese Ethereum. I bought it at around $8. It's now at $40 and I think it can go much higher. Nexus (NXS) and Unitus (UIS) are doing well for me too. I have around 25 or more different cryptocurrencies now. To name a few more that I own that I think have the potential to rise much higher in value: STEEM, Stratis, NEM, Waves. I'm watching numerous others that I might buy into, such as EOS, Iconomi and Cofound.it. I've even taken a punt on a couple of ICOs recently. It's all a gamble though, whichever ones you choose to invest in. But, for the most part (bar a few sh!tcoins I took a punt on) almost every single altcoin I've invested in has gone up in value. Some quite substantially, some just a little. |
