Polish president's plane turns back, makes emergency landing - state news agency The plane carrying Poland's President Andrzej Duda to meet his US counterpart Joe Biden has had to turn back, and has made an emergency landing in Warsaw, Poland's state-run news agency PAP reports. Duda did not face any danger, Reuters quoted his chief of staff as saying. Polish reports say the president's plane had to return to Warsaw airport shortly after take-off because of a technical issue. Duda was supposed to be at Rzeszow Airport in the south-east of Poland to meet Biden and brief him about the situation on the border with Ukraine. Air Force One has landed, but it's unclear whether Duda will be able to fly to meet Biden now before he departs. |

Definitely some "big stuff" coming over us low from Northolt, but not showing on Flightradar24. :tuttut:
Heard one about 11:30 this morning that can only have been a Globemaster but didn't have a chance to see it. |
Fairford air tattoo apparently.

We seem to be directly under the "big stuff" inbound queue/loop for Heathrow today.
This is a BA A380 from Dallas, it really looked quite low when directly overhead, I guess due to the size: http://forum.a8parts.co.uk/attachmen...1&d=1659606142 |
Weird one tonight. Unusual conditions, can hear planes clearly at cruising altitude.
Heard one heading West just before 10pm and looked it up, a Boeing 777-2U8(ER). That's it, NO DATA! Looking at the track it came from Ramstein air base in Germany. As I type it's near Swansea heading West. |
Heard something pretty big going over just now, but not too low.
RAF Globemaster inbound from Constanta..... (On the Romanian coast, not far from the Ukrainian border and Odesa) Probably delivering "stuff" and returning to Brize Norton! |
Interesting, a Globemaster just flew over, pretty low, from the track it had just left Northolt.
BUT nothing showing up online.... :tuttut: |
Talking of not showing up online, a Russian Air Force Tu-134 (RA-65690) was visible out on its own in the middle of the Black Sea south of Crimea yesterday afternoon. It had flown from Moscow and then just disappeared, presumably turning off its transponders well away from any commercial flights.
The same aircraft reappeared this afternoon in roughly the same area and headed back towards Moscow, where it seems to be about to land. At a guess it had been in to Crimea as covertly as it could, though presumably NATO would know exactly when and where.... ;) |
I like the NATO code name for the tu134 - Crusty. Some are apparently used for Presidential Flights ......
