It's also a really pretty drive and tintern at night is lovely too. You don't need speed bumps to make people go slow, just really pretty things worth taking the time to look at

In that case. . . you need to come to the annual meet, we always make sure there are pretty views and pretty things to look at :D

We will be in Chepstow 16th, 17th and 18th September this year. It is our Annual Reunion weekend. Friday at Beachley Camp Sergeants Mess, Saturday dinner at the Racecourse and Sunday Church Parade at the camp.
Depends on your girl friends age but she might well know about the Beachley Boys. I spent three years there from the age of 15 (1955 to 1958). It used to be an Army Technical Training College (Army Apprentices School).
I've ridden my push bike a few times up and down that road and we walked Chepstow to Monmouth a few times. We did not have cars then.

I've yet to make it to a meet up, despite being on/off active on this group for quite some years and into my 3rd 8!!!

Part of my problem is having very busy weekends.....But I should at some point!

As for the GF she's 38, though doesn't come from down there and her house is currently on the market as she is relocating closer :D

I do visit Chepstow on other occasions.
My first wife stil lives there and we visit her at least once a year.
I occasionally have to cover one way air crew transfers to Bristol Airport and break the return in Chepstow. Then I am a committee member in our Old Boys Association so have to pop down for meetings a few times a year.
I do have a lot of memories there.
