Apologies but this has been a busy week - trying to recover from house deals gone wrong and in midst of viewings by new prospective buyers and viewing other places ourselves. I had said that i would contact Ednam's Hotel last week but will definitely get on the case this week. Mea Culpa.

I have contacted Ednam House and got a fairly bland reply saying they are closed and hoping to open in February subject to restrictions in place at the time. I have followed up with an email asking about availability in September this year and in April/May/Jun 2022 in order to see what options might be available to us and am awaiting an answer. Ill post again as soon as I get a reply.

Not wanting to put a dampener on things (because I could really do with getting out for a decent drive - anything above a 25 mile round trip every two months!), but I wouldn't bother looking at anything in 2021 (Covid legislation extended to mid July so count on further lockdowns) and look at June 2022 instead.

Having said that, I appreciate all the work that's gone into organising the annual meets, more so this one in particular.

Common sense there Sean.
All my Army shindigs for 2021 have now been cancelled. I don't really see any change until 2022.
As for visiting my German family and friends . . . . .
I appreciate all the work being put in by our intrepid organisers.

Apologies David. Never thought of it that way.

Had a very prompt response today from Ednam House. September this year is fully booked so, anyway, that question is answered. They have weekends free in May and June 2022 so we have decided to go for our "normal" weekend at the beginning of June - Friday 3rd/Sat 4th June 2022. It seems a long way away but put in your diary now +++

David that is brilliant news and the right decision. You have faced something of a challenge with this meet and needing to adapt to the 'unprecedented hiccup' can not have been easy. Thank you
And now something to look forward to in 2022
Like Sean said. I need to get some miles under the belt, enjoy new scenery and socialise. But first, a hair cut

I agree fully with Nic. Well put young man.
I too have had to make similar hard thought decisions for the rest of this year.
Roll on 22 and hope that it is not a “Catch” situation.
