Better octane and less Ethanol, for a few pence more a litre - I'm sure someone could do the maths and it wouldn't overly surprise me if Super actually came out on top here as being actually cheaper
It's going to vary a bit where you shop and what the difference is, but on that 2mpg, with say 10p difference
say 145 vs 155 and 4.5x for a gallon
20mpg at 145 x 4.5 = 652.5 > 32.6p a mile
22mpg at 155 x 4.5 = 697.5 > 31.7p a mile
15p and it's just a touch more expensive at 32.7p
Totally back of a fag packet maths there, but, as i guessed, Super is probably the better buy these days

Last time I filled up - which I must confess was more than a month ago - the price differential was a lot less than 10p. But then again that, as always, was with Tesco Momentum - and Tesco have traditionally not ripped off "premium" fuel buyers as much as Shell and BP ;)
