like i said it depends on coding not the age but i am out of ideas now and off to bed, gotta be at work at 22:00 sharp -ish.

That's all a bit worrying, I always thought the key could manually open the door.

Do you have both keys for the car? Obviously you will have tried the other one if you do have it.

Maybe a new battery (two needed I think) in the remote and try again!

Maybe the cars battery is on its last legs, hence why the windows don't go down and why the key wont open the lock

Hope you get it sorted soon and cheaply

Nope - that didn't work

Left the car in Stranraer and got home. Will try to get a garage to it tomorrow and get a one way car hire to pick it up later in the week (hopefully). :(

Battery was new last winter. And breakdown man tried the jump leads. I didn't have the other key with me so had to leave the car and get home. Call a garage out tomorrow
