I once paid £3500 insurance for my Scooby.... That hurt.

I ended up parking it in the garage with theft only cover for half the policy :p

Not a problem these days. David and I can drive anything we have in our posession, fully comp inc trailers, commercials, theft from home, social domestic & pleasure, motor trade and business class xyz for a little under £1500.... Bargain +++

And thats with all my points.... :tuttut: :D

So, my RS6 quite literally costs as much to insure as my transit van...

I got my Renewal papers in from Bell Direct - looked OK at £305 so I just let it ride, it automatically renews unless you actually bin them.

I meant to get a few quotes but never got round to it.....

Last week I idly looked at the Schedule and see I have a £500 mandatory and a £200 voluntary excess! Argh.... but I've got about a hundred years of no claims so I might just make it again.

I might just remember to get quotes next year.

You should have 14 days to cancel from renewal...

I bet if you rang up to 'cancel' they'd find a way to reduce it, they always do...

The AA breakdown cover works the same way. I 'cancel' that every renewal and get an instant 20% refund :D

My renewal arrived - up by £30!
£540 (protected ncb, roadside assistance, couretesy car, legal, blah, blah)
They want 11 payments at £54 (APR 16%)

Best 'deal' was swift, wanting £333, but add all of the above, comes to £425 - good, but over 12 months, deposit of £83, then 10 months of £45 - thers APR is 26%...

Looks like I'll stick with what I got.
