Hi Scott, yes they are probably flocked. Doesn't have to be exactly like that, just something that will look tidy enough. The new bottom panel will cover the hole and connector too. I am using non-slip rubber mat as a stop gap...

Got a working 6021 for my holder, got a pay as you go sim card for it, little bit of customization and it's in the car ready to be used.

Hopefully it will give me a better signal and apparently the quality is better than Bluetooth.
Time will tell if it's worth it.

Nice kit Scott
Is the choice of the phone based in the nokia cradle??

Not sure why quality would be better, I and people I'm talking to can confirm the 8s bluetooth quality is amazing and I couldn't ask for more.

You know the sim in nokia, is that a clone of your original sim or another number??

The cradle determines what phone you use.
You can get iPhone cradles but they are like £100 each.

I get better signal with the in car kit cause it uses the car aerial.
Just a couple of people that I spoke to said it was clearer and generally better quality.

Its not a clone, its a new number and I got to forward my phone to the car phone each time. EE don't do 2 sims 1 number, which is a shame.
I'm tempted to see if I can clone my sim, it would make like easier.

Orange used to do a dual sim business tariff which I had in my A7. You just nominate which is the main sim. I nominated the phone sim then when I turned my phone off on getting into the car it automatically became my phone in the car on the same number.

I asked.
EE don't do that.

IM on EE and I have a duplicate sim ... just go in store and ask. Mind you I have a tablet and maybe they only give them out to tablet users ...

That's what I did and the said no.

I'll ask in another store when I'm passing.

I really don't think this is possible on a modern, secure GSM network for all kinds of reasons.
