they range from the sort I'm looking for, full floor covering with a nice lip to something that's flat or only fits the lower sunken section.

Ebaying that part number comes up with this.

This is what I'm after.

Thanks.

It will go on the list with new footwell light, number plate lights, boot floor securing bolts, coolant pipe, clips and bolt cap for the boot hinge. lol

I've got the boot liner too, but I wouldn't get too excited as it is made of what appears to be some sort of styrene foam. Easily torn/nicked but very light and easy to fit and remove. Quite water resistant too if you don't need to cut out the holes for the cargo net hook loops....

I have this eBay one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUDI-A8-SA...item3a887ccb08, it is very good. (scroll down for the picture of the A8 one) Totally watertight and it has a softer rubbery area in the middle to stop things sliding around.

I bought one of these for the old girl:

£19 in Halfords and fits perfectly into the back section of the boot in the D3.

Where's this idea? +++

OK OK, uno momento ;)

I forgot because when I originally replied to this thread I wasn't really serious about my ''storage idea'' as it kind of isn't, and I was going to post the pictures just for laugh.

I do like you ideas guys, don't take me wrong, I just always like to have a room for two adults in my boot, old ''tradition''

So, the ''idea'' then.

This is how my boot looks like on daily basis, like a unfurnished tiny studio flat for two ;)

Cant believe uv got all that in the tyre well, brilliant +++

PsYcHe 6th May 2014 08:00 PM

Thought I was doing well just jamming my little tyre compressor in :) Was expecting to see no spare wheel.

Architex_mA8tey 6th May 2014 09:09 PM

Yes but if he needs to change the spare wheel onto the car it takes another hour! Hehe +++

HPsauce 6th May 2014 09:16 PM

I've got similar plus a mains battery charger, 2-gallon petrol can, a set of jump leads and the "elephant condom" from the ski hatch. Admittedly in a D2 with 2 side panels in the boot space, but the boot itself is empty apart from an umbrella.
No umbrella holder option on a D2. :-(
