I've got the boot liner too, but I wouldn't get too excited as it is made of what appears to be some sort of styrene foam. Easily torn/nicked but very light and easy to fit and remove. Quite water resistant too if you don't need to cut out the holes for the cargo net hook loops....

I have this eBay one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUDI-A8-SA...item3a887ccb08, it is very good. (scroll down for the picture of the A8 one) Totally watertight and it has a softer rubbery area in the middle to stop things sliding around.

I bought one of these for the old girl:
http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...egoryId_165665 http://static.autoexpress.co.uk/site...?itok=k7z_xReE £19 in Halfords and fits perfectly into the back section of the boot in the D3. |

I forgot because when I originally replied to this thread I wasn't really serious about my ''storage idea'' as it kind of isn't, and I was going to post the pictures just for laugh. I do like you ideas guys, don't take me wrong, I just always like to have a room for two adults in my boot, old ''tradition'' So, the ''idea'' then. This is how my boot looks like on daily basis, like a unfurnished tiny studio flat for two ;) http://forum.a8parts.co.uk/attachmen...1&d=1399403301 ...and that's what's stored in it: - 1litre of long life oil - spare plates (legal ones, the ones on the car have 2x spaces instead of so thats why I have some double sided sticky foam pads ;) ) - Hi-Viz - jumper cables - 6x red microfibre clothes - 2x blue ones - 1x yellow ;) - spare coolant - WURTH leather cleaner and conditioner - 4x loose flat head screwdrivers - 1x torx, the correct one which will do half of the torx screws around the car - pliers - set of spare H7 Osram fog lights bulbs - telescopic wheel wrench - box of big fuses - commercial leather cleaner - tow bar - Stihl safety glases, Safety First ;) never, but they are there - WD40 - white cotton cloth to clean exhaust tips every time I'm not happy with them unless I can't be bothered - set of spanners - empty spray bottle, why?? god knows, but one day, one day.... - little screwdriver - pack of little fuses - wallpaper brush - WTF??? you think, excellent for un-snowing the car :D - 2x paper door mats with Drive Safely writing, Safety First - 2x spare engine coil pack-ignition, once it happened, needed them and no Audi garage around and it was weekend - pack of paper towels - pencil - scissors ;) - 3x white bags - 4x black bags - set of 12 screwdrivers, long short flat cross - ROLL OF TOILET PAPER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Car polish - 2litres bottle of water - squashed for space management empty bottle of water http://forum.a8parts.co.uk/attachmen...1&d=1399403301 ...in there http://forum.a8parts.co.uk/attachmen...1&d=1399403301 hahahahahahahahahahahahaha +++ |
Cant believe uv got all that in the tyre well, brilliant +++
|
Thought I was doing well just jamming my little tyre compressor in :) Was expecting to see no spare wheel.
|
Yes but if he needs to change the spare wheel onto the car it takes another hour! Hehe +++
|
I've got similar plus a mains battery charger, 2-gallon petrol can, a set of jump leads and the "elephant condom" from the ski hatch. Admittedly in a D2 with 2 side panels in the boot space, but the boot itself is empty apart from an umbrella.
No umbrella holder option on a D2. :-( |
