What bike you Norretal?

I'd love a heli ride.
I've tried a couple of times in work but always failed.
I'll keep trying. I might get one some day.

I've like another bike one day.

It's a Honda Blackbird CBR1100XX fella, bought it new in 1999 when I was single and daft. I'm still daft but have a wedding ring on my finger these days.

The helicopter ride was a worry because I'm not great with heights but I needn't have worried, it was fantastic and I'd definitely do it again +++

I love the blackbird but much prefer the X11. Same engine but a naked version.

I remember coming back from the bike show at the NEC and fell a sleep on the back of one of them. lol

I'm not the best with height but never have an issue with climbing or flying. Its when I'm stood still not moving I get issues.

Some cracking views there.

Now a heli flight around New York would be more to my liking, however the reality for me is in a hot stuffy survival suit or what I call the body bag for 1-2 hours and the ever present worry of crashing into the north sea, which has happened far too often recently.

Nice bike BTW, I miss not having a motorbike, wouldn't mind the Ace cafe 904s thruxton or the new Norton Cafe racer.

Still fancy month on month off Scott Video

I love the bike but it really should go to someone who'll use it more than me. I'm a bit of a hoarder, which is why I still have my D2

I have a good friend who lives in Monifieth near Dundee, Del. He works five on five off as an HSE advisor in North Africa mainly, but is being spread further and is in Malta right now. Everyone I seem to meet through him either works offshore or overseas, he seems to have lost a few good friends over the last few years due to helicopter crashes.

The crashing bit is a worry but I bet you're safer in your heli than I am riding to work?

The video kind of gets me excited (none sexual sort) for something.
When we was in scotland we took the ferry to Malliag when it was pretty rough.
Everyone else was inside and was the only ones sat on the top deck right at the front getting soaked loving every minute of it.
The ferry on the way back from france one was pretty bad, people could hardly walk around. I loved every minute of it.
That's kind of odd right?

Del, is that part of the Ton up club bikes?
I remember reading something about them. They was mental back then.

Nothing wrong with hoarding if you got the space.
If I had the space I would have kept my A4.

Africa Mmm shudder to think, been there a few times and cant say I'm all too fond of the place. Myself and three others ended up in a bit of a bother once in the Ivory Coast that ended up with us all being thrown into the back of a hilux and I found myself looking at the wrong end of an AK-47 that was being held by a African wearing a balaclava.

Turns out in the end that they were the police

Luckily for us it end up being an exercise of extortion and we left there with our behinds the way god intended.

And people moan about England.

Delboy 22nd July 2014 12:00 PM

Haha Scott, if that kinda thing is enjoyable for you then perhaps a life on ocean waves would suit you.

Its not always bad weather and guns as you could imagine, and I must say I do love my job.

I had a great trip out in the Philippines last year, was an interesting trip just to get to the boat. If I get some time then I might upload a vid of the journey out there sometime.

The old school cafe racers were part of the ton up club but the bike I lust after is a new build.

That looks very nice.

Old styling with modern tech?

I bet that's entertaining to ride.
