Really coming along Guy, you must have nearly all the options from the brochure in that D3 now.

Thats a Great help thank you Del ! +++
sorry to hear about your Mac Book ! tats a bugger

I will try that this evening then and see if it fires up into life.

the heating eliment is the Flat Pannel on the Grill it comes on at -1c to de frost it and any snow that may cause the ACC not to work.. but in all fairness if its -5c and icy im not sure i would want the car in control of the braking system anyway i think id rather have myself in control if there is snow and ice involved +++

It's for SiriusXM, exclusively for US.

Here's the footprint of the satellite,

I have no idea if satellite based radio exists in Europe.

ah i see hence the DAB for the UK then .. im guessing thet sirius is the Name of the satalite then +++ .. well another item for ebay then haha

From what I can find out it would appear that the Sirius radio coverage is N America only  I cannot find any reference to a similar European satellite coverage offered by Siriius radio or any other provider.

Basically it would appear to provide 157 channels of 'merican radio (that'llbe Country AND Western) from coast to coast and up to 200miles offshore (the latter not being so helpful ina car radio).

EDIT: as i posted I saw Matty's post saying much the same thing

mattylondon 26th January 2015 01:41 PM

Guy, did you pay much for it?

I wonder if you played with it you could pick up Satellite Radio from Astra

Edit:
Just read on the website that you need an external dish. So probably not.

Its about the same as having Sky - the receiver box is set up to receive that provider's broadcast (frequency/coding etc) and probably is not going to be adaptable to another provider even if there were one in Europe.

hmm .. it was £60 but was fitted on a UK Car so i thought that was odd . unless they tried to retro fit as well .. i think im starting to get my head arround the wiring for the ACC ..

i just need to find out if there is an ignition feed or if its just a fused perminent live ?

I will scrap the Sirius for now then dont think i need both Dab and Satelite as well as DVB T that has all them functions anyway .. im currently working on a Bridge connection for the RSE and the Digi tv so that the DVB-T can be discplayed in the Rear as well as the Front i think i found a solution that requires only 3 wires and lots of patients for stripping down and re assembaly.
