Dear organisers,

Sadly, we will have to chip off on Saturday after the group lunch in the hotel.
Can we ask the organisers to be included in the Group A so we will take the SNOWDONIA SCENIC DRIVE before the lunch please?

Looking forward to seeing everyone soon!

Architex_mA8tey 27th May 2015 10:22 PM

Groups are already fixed now Sergey but as it happens you are in that group +++

Lucky me too - I've just printed off all the name badges, agenda, attendee list, maps and voting forms (got in to work at 6:45am so I could do it all before anyone else arrived!).

Sir WIll 28th May 2015 11:57 AM

Ready to roll and looking forward to getting together again

The_Laird 28th May 2015 02:48 PM

Shiny! :)

There'll be no clean cars from this end of the country though - it's been p***ing it down for the last 2 days. :(

But I also have another excuse for not washing the car this evening - our roof is leaking!

That's a VERY clean car!

Mine is filthy at the moment and I'm out for a colleague's leaving party tonight so will be giving my S8 a quick wash late tonight under spotlights, or early in the morning!

I'll also have a Karcher washer and expandable hose with me if anybody wants use of it (if there is access to a tap anywhere that is).

briang9 28th May 2015 03:15 PM

Washed mine about an hour ago. Lasted about 10 minutes before another shower came in, and this has been the best of the last three days.

The sun has come out, so out came the phone and I took a shot because by tomorrow evening it will be even dirtier.

The sun has now gone away again.

Don't know how that happened, it's OK in the phone.

moltuae 28th May 2015 04:46 PM

I thought you were in Wigan Ray, not Australia!

Looks good! (when I stand on my head) :D

Some very nice shiny looking motors!

Got mine cleaned and threw a cover over it (don't have a garage unfortunately). Planning to take the cover off an hour or two before leaving tomorrow, if the rain stops for long enough.

Conan_the_Librarian 28th May 2015 06:58 PM

Started my journey at 10 this morning. 600 miles to go.

Due to this Covid-19 stuff there are no model railway shows for me to attend this year.
BUT, this weekend a virtual model railway exhibition is being held and the first model to appear was something that reminded me of the 2015 Annual Meet in Snowdonia. We were based at King Geoge V Hotel at Penmaenpool. The promenade between the hotel and the estuary used to be part of the Cambrian Railway line.

I am attaching some photos of the model that might bring back a couple of nice memories for you.

HPsauce 4th July 2020 03:49 PM

Ray, I saw that on TV very recently, just can't recall whose/where it is...…

The attention to detail is amazing, with even the rain drops being captured in the water.

Great memories indeed.

ScottD3 15th July 2020 06:36 AM

Our first A8 meet.
Good weekend, really enjoyed our selves and always aim to attend more.

I've semi inherited father in-laws3 track Hornby model railway collection and I've started following model railway groups and some of the attention to details and skills people have in making these is amazing.
Hats off to them all.

tc4332 15th July 2020 11:24 AM

Good to se you back Scott.
Hope you are OK.
