Oh OK then.
I accept.
I'll admit it.
We all migrate to a sedate D3 tractor oil burning 3.0 TDI :D   +++

It didn't seem all that sedate last year in North Wales +++

Oh!! Blow it!!!
There was me thinking that nobody had noticed.
And the management speed limiter was on board then :D

I admit to being 76 but still feeling like an eighteen year old. Did you see Katie Price today on Loose Women? Better not let SWMBO see this!!!

I was under the impression that the only person that realised mine is a bit potent for what it is was Mark during our last North Westish meet.
I don't know the figures or what exactly they did but since the remap she has been quite sharp. Suppose I'll have to try it on rollers some time and see whats what.
It is very nice when some plonker annoys me and I leave them choking in the black cloud I leave them in.

I only noticed because I was trying to keep up with you from the hotel to Gellilydan, where you disappeared in a black cloud.

Rollin' coal. BOOM.

Where did you get yours remapped Ray?

tc4332 29th April 2016 06:38 PM

Hi John,
We use Rye Motors in Bryn. Between Wigan and Ashton-in-Makerfield. They have a couple of other units in Manchester & Widnes but Bryn is where the owner and his two sons play. I say "play" 'cos they have quite a few expensive hobbies, mainly track bikes and rather large gas guzzling oldy classic cars.
In the other depots they are mainly truck fixers so Bryn is much more interesting. They do an awful lot of work for us on our fleet vehicles. Whenever I visit I'm greeted with comments like "One of the fitters reported seeing Ray low flying on the M6 last Tuesday". Of course I always answer with "What me? No way, Gwen was with me".
You realise that if you mention my name they will only charge you double, that is if they do not run away screaming.

Johnmed 29th April 2016 06:54 PM

Ha. What kind of expense and gains dos you get?

tc4332 30th April 2016 09:35 AM

No idea of actual figures, but when I left their unit for a quick flip round the block the buildings at the road side seem to lean back as I struggled to get my ass out of the back seat.
Still get the same effect when I'm allowed to press the loud pedal!!!!

Consumption is much better. Again no figures 'cos I know that a big heavy lump is going to be a bit thirsty and she is our daily workhorse, management does the school runs in her(grandkids, ours are all growed up) . I always reckoned we needed £90 of tractor oil for the Chepstow return, now we average about £74. I cannot trust the Audi maths of the onboard trip abbacus, it fluctuates between 18 mpg and 200mpg though usually reports about the 40 mark.

I really do like to see the far away vision in my rear view mirror of other cars coughing and spluttering in the black cloud that pinpoints the place where my heavy right boot made a hole in the driver position floor.
Shame about the draught up my right trouser leg though +++

Johnmed 30th April 2016 09:45 AM

Cheers Ray. I've enquired with them about pricing and gains.

tc4332 30th April 2016 01:02 PM

Hope that they came up with something to suit.
If you do go there let me know when and I'll try and pop in for a visit.
Not very far from them, and there is another chap that lives across the road from them. Well somewhere in the estate there, don't know his address, he just turned up for a couple of hours in Snowdonia at last years annual meet.

Johnmed 30th April 2016 01:12 PM

Ta Ray. I emailed my enquired and it went to their Mancs branch I believe. I'm not so keen on rolling coal TBH, but would like a bit more power and more efficiency wouldn't go a miss.
