I've also added a review of the product giving the worst possible ratings and stating that they are counterfeit as confirmed by Philips.

In their defence, they do replace with genuine (and cover the postage costs both ways) when you complain but it's still a shady way to do business. Must be lots of unsuspecting customers with fake, inferior bulbs (potentially damaging their headlight lenses).

It may well be that they are "largely" an honest business and got a dodgy batch (that they're trying to shift), but whatever the background they knew what they were doing and are continuing to sell them illegally.

Agree completely. No matter the reason, it's certain that they're knowingly selling fakes and they should be stopped.

Ok, perhaps 'defence' was the wrong word to use. Just thought it was worth mentioning that they do replace with genuine when pushed/threatened.
