Well, having hardly used the S8 at all in the last 2 years circumstances forced me to MOT and Tax it recently and I've done a few short journeys.

The brakes work. It feels like a normal(ish) car to drive and apply the brakes.
Not the usual spongy feel I'd got used to. :ROFL:

It was only after I'd been out in it a few times that I realised I was braking without needing to think about it, getting a firm pedal and the car was slowing down in a normal way without excessive effort.
I'd got so used to the difference between my Volvo and Audi brakes that it took me some time to cotton on to the fact that they're now very similar in feel and performance.
