We’re going to skip this lunch and grab something from the Co Op while having a wander

We'll be skipping it too.
Three meals a day, I don't know how you all manage that!

Nearest Shell seems to be Jedburgh, if you're coming cross-country up the A68. Or Morpeth services on the A1.

Though there is a Sainsburys in Kelso which has super unleaded, 97RON I think.
If you can wait till Saturdays run, there's a Shell in Highfields Berwick, actually on the route (by design maybe?).

And oddly, just outside Rothbury, which is where we're heading on Sunday afternoon for a few days. Cragside is near there for those into such places.

Just a very brief post now that we’re back home from the much-overdue meet in the Scottish Borders. First point, is a mega-massive thanks to David, Brian and Steve for organising a triumphant event!

The hotel and its location were spot on, the planning of the the main day (Saturday) was superb and we visited: the Jim Clark museum, followed by a short walk to the Jim Clark Bistro for a snacky lunch (brilliant wee cafe/bistro, with really wonderful staff and wonderful home made food); then the ‘scenic Borders drive with stops at a glorious beach, a wonderful micro brewery, a honey farm and a (very, very cautious) drive over the world’s oldest chain suspension bridge; top-notch dinner at the hotel.

Sunday morning was a visit to Floors Castle and gardens and then the trip home. And the weather was glorious!

What a great weekend - I’m sure that loads of photos will be posted soon - but for now, thanks again for such a good trip +++

Huge thanks to everyone who came to this year's event. Seems you can't have an annual meet without a Castle +++

Just in the door and wholeheartedly agree. It was a long time coming, but well worth it in the end.
