Excelent news! Im looking forward to this!

I shouldn't have got you all excited right away, I am going to meet Ben tomorrow to discuss the possible project in more detail. However, I'm not as good at being sneeky as Conan and R8_Dream!

Its going to be a lot of £££ but for something fairly bespoke. Clive said to me that a standard S8 handles like an RS 6 on coilovers, so imagine what an RS 6 powered S8 on coilovers could be like? The S8 is also lighter because of its ali design then an RS and imo has the better interior as well as being a lot rarer.

An RS with 517BHP does 0-60 in 3.6 secs, see below.

If I went ahead with this, rest assured it would have no less then 580BHP. (remember the S8 is a little lighter) +++

excelent! It will be well worth it!

What box would you use? will the stock D2 box take it?

Amar, I found this... http://forums.audiworld.com/showthread.php?t=1742729

The "lean" bit is interesting. Could this have been the reason for your engine failure?

You may have cracked it there Jayzee, that secondary injection valve was disconnected once. It didn't bring up a check engine light and I only discovered it as was doing a Vag Com scan. Ben clicked it into place again for me, but maybe it could have came lose again? Then the engine ran lean and died? :(
Don't think the rubber pipes around there looked excessive worn or cracked there though.

Well, if this is the cause, then the hoses should be inspected and renewed if suspected to be on their way out.

I do note that on later D2s, the pipes are different - I'm going to check mine out to see if they are indeed the later type.
