What is the procedure for removing a rear calliper? I hear you should use VCDS but how does this help if calliper is semi seized?

I heard you have to take the motor off and wind out the piston with a hex (allen key) bit on a drill or driver. The best thing to do is get a copy of the Audi ELSAwin official manual CDs from ebay.

It depends if it's the motor or the piston. The motor doesn't pull the piston in, so it still needs pushed back to change pads, etc.

You need VCDS (or an EPB tool) to tell the car to wind the motor in and then you can take it off just like a normal caliper (2 bolts).
