Talking of seats, I noticed that your eBay shop has a set of what appear to be FL D2 S8 cream leather Recaro front seats in good condition, though it doesn't indicate what mileage the donor car had done.

Now my cream S8 front seats should be identical to that and fine EXCEPT that both of them leak pressure in the lumbar support, which I guess is a faulty valve that as far as I'm concerned is inaccessible.

Is there a deal to be done where we can swap the seats over (you experts doing the swapping) for a sensible price and you then have a pair of (probably "lower mileage") identical seats that need a repair to the lumbar supports? :cool:

If there is I could combine that with attending the open day on Sunday and staying overnight to swap the seats on Monday.....

I weighed the spare recaro thats in my living room and it weighs 36kg. To me that's just a ridiculous weight for whats effectively chair :ROFL:
I find that I dont use the electric adjustment at all, its in the position I like and I hardly ever move it. The only thing I dont want to lose is the comfy-ness, these seats are absolutely the best I have sat it. I literally drove for 22 hours and had no seat-induced pains.
I'm thinking the manual seats cant weigh more than 20kg each surely?

I should be attending too! +++ I just hope the weather warms up a bit. Its been about 6 months of ownership and I love my A8 to bits! Such a fantastic car.
