Unfortunately (for me, maybe not for you folk), due to a change in circumstances, I'm unable to attend the annual meet this year.

I've just cancelled my reservation at The Castle so if anyone is looking to stay there it'd be worth giving them a call to book the room +++

No mate, the golf trip is earlier this year so I was looking forward to the meet this year. It's the looming redundancy and me needing to prioritise, some things had to give and unfortunately the meet was on the list. I'm just hoping I can keep the car, then maybe attend next year if I'm working again +++

having been made redundant twice myself in the space of 6 years I can understand that totally Ron, just hope that things work out even better for you at the end when it sorts itself out - you will always be welcome and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that things sort themselves out in a good way for you +++

Guys n Gals,

After our visit this weekend there are 5 rooms left in the main hotel and 3 rooms left in the overflow across the road.

The Castle will hold their rooms until the end of April. The overflow B&B (http://www.droversllandovery.co.uk/) will not hold rooms so first come first served. It is very nice as Neil and I stayed there this weekend gone.

Silly question, but did you get a list of who is booked in and does it cross-check against the lists here?

I'm pretty sure we have already booked in but they did seem very easygoing and didn't ask for much detail or send a confirmation. At least not one I can find....

we've just done that over the weekend and just updated the locked accommodation thread HERE to reflect which room everyone is in correctly +++
