Are you doing the full set, including door mirrors?
If not and it's just the interior one I found a handy switched/delayed off power supply by the sunroof in my PF, FL will presumably have the same.

Just the rear view mirror. I had the auto dimming door mirrors on my last S8 (now Davids8) and never noticed that I don't have them now.

Just interior mirror - but want to wire up the switched feed so it goes clear when you put it in reverse, for full factory functionality :D Since the solar wiring will have to go down the A pillar to the relay board I might as well do the same for the dipping mirror wiring

Goran, where are you? :)

You have German LHD car with heated windscreen here in the UK with receiver installed in OEM location.

Are you getting stable antenna symbol?

Plan D: To upgrade to bigger antenna version:

Yep, this is nice antenna. Size does matter:

Das ist gut. Made in Germany.

Sorry, I completely forgot to look at it last time I drove it.
If my memory is still in good shape, I remember when I first brought it to the UK the symbol was there all the time. I remember because I wasnt used to it being there and it kept annoying me.
Now I got used to it I will have to concentrate a bit to notice it.

While Goran is helping with gathering statistics of how genuine Audi clock antenna behaves in the UK in genuine location in a car with heated windscreen I'm continuing my research.

I have found out that on many audi models clock receiver is mounted in rear bumper area.

Next step: because I have ski hatch in my car I'm going to extend receiver wires buy ~3 meters and snake them temporarily to boot area via the ski hatch. I'm going to try to find good reception area. The first place I'm going to try is under rear parcel shelf. There is good access there via boot. We have 4 circular holes in the aluminium chassis between boot area and parcel shelf. I'm going to stick receiver under parcel shelf through those holes in the boot and there is just enough space for the receiver.

In parallel I'm going to order monster DCF antenna from Germany.

I drove the car twice today, once in the morning and once at night, about 30mins each time. The little antenna symbol was there all the time as far as I could tell, it didnt dissapear at any point.
