It looks to be a great route and if the weather is good then a fantastic day out

Have you not done a century yet?

Not yet.. 81 is my biggest run so far.. Reckon 10 hours is a pretty achievable time for this, depending on the lunch stops.

10 hours, you'll do it a lot faster than that. The Lord of the Lochs that I did in September was 111 miles and I did it in under 7 hours

Not too bad then... would rather estimate a bit high and finish quicker though :) Did 81 in under 5, so 7 is realistic.

I'm going to aim for 8 hours

Well.. if anyone spots some marbles in the Greater Glasgow area, they may belong to me and my mate who have signed up for the 200km ride :)

See you at the start line John.

Well done Richard, here's hoping the weather is dry. Will see you on the day +++

I was visiting my daughter in Roybridge at the weekend and took the single speed with me, Saturday the wind was a killer, I was pedalling along at 18-20mph and the wind would swing round and it was like hitting a wall with speed down to 3mph so I cut the ride short and struggled all the way back to base

Sunday was a better day and much more enjoyable

Was great weather for it at the weekend... managed a quick ride on Saturday, and the plan of a longer ride on Sunday was cut short when the derailleur cage bent after a few miles, managed to limp home and order a replacement.
