Here's another good talk by Andreas, if you haven't already seen it (posted a little over a week ago and filmed at the Slush Conference in Helsinki a few months ago).

I think this is what killed GPU/CPU CryptoNight profitability. Hashing power of 10 RX Vegas or 25 RX 580 with 60W (3%) power consumption. Or if it was not because of this then it will see even higher profitability drops.
https://www.baikalminer.com/product12.php I have inquired about price, MOQ and shipping dates. |
Damn. I thought it was just the low price. Asics ruin everything
I've had to switch the Vegas to Eth since they weren't even covering the electricity on XMR any more :( I wonder if its worth mining a bunch of Electroneum before these things come online and make the difficulty too high? |

Speaking of going 50/50, aA that I bought together with a friend should be arriving today. +++ |

Yeah, I got that email this morning from Bitmain too. $12,000! Clearly these things are priced relative to how much they can potentially make rather than what they cost to produce.

ainarssems - Could be interested in a group buy if MOQ's and a reasonable price?
Crypto really seems to be struggling atm. I keep getting more coins and my wallet goes down :( Still carrying on though. Getting about 35 LCC a day (Antminers) and 0.3 GBX (4xGTX970). Not entirely sure it's covering it's costs atm but then the prices vs coin grab! Good video, though with lots of people cracking down, people are running scared. Daft really as it shows a lack of understanding, but that's sheeple! |

It's fast and power definitely and will possibly kill the Giant, which is why i'm guessing they are doing it. However I can't see many even medium level miners wanting to risk that outlay, particularly in a depressed market which we have now. |
