Wanted: Pirelli Sottozero II 245/45R18 - just one, maybe two!

Long shot I know, but I'm trying to 100% regularise my winter tyres.
Ideally I'm after a single Pirelli Sottozero II (2) 245/45R18 with decent tread (6mm or more?).

Definitely NOT a run-flat which is all I can find online and if you have a pair I'd think about it and negotiate hard.

I don't think these are made any more and can't find any stock.

I bought 4 of these tyres in 17" from Audi Peterborough on Friday through their eBay shop. Would be worth giving them a call to ask if they have any 18" for sale.

HPsauce 25th October 2015 02:13 PM

Could you post or pm a link to the shop please, I can't find it.
(Will probably be in Peterborough in a few days time so could pick up)

They aren't listing any for sale but it's always worth a call. I paid just under £200.00 plus postage for 4 tyres +++

If you call them I was dealing with Jez who seemed like a knowledgeable chap

Thanks for the link, a search for shops on ebay didn't bring that up. Weird.

Ah bless! We're always thinking of you Neil. :D

If they don't fit the fridge they'll sit nicely alongside your Malt collection..............

There are quite a few Audi dealers selling on eBay now along with Mercedes, BMW and plenty more.

Thanks for the tip, I called them but they've shifted almost everything and have nothing in 18" anyway.

So, still looking..........

I've checked with Nasser @ DM tyres for you - he has none of these in at the moment, but will let me know if one comes in on his next delivery (he's sourcing me a set of winters at the moment…)

HPsauce 26th October 2015 05:34 PM

That's very thoughtful, thanks.

Was worth a try, good luck with the hunt

My 17" tyres arrived today, bit odd really buying tyres for a Mercedes from an Audi dealer  :ROFL:

Thanks, I think I'm sorted now. Just ordered some on eBay.

Slightly mis-described so only found them with a rather vague search. Part-worn but about the same level as the ones I have fitted.
Pretty much "two for the price of one" (£112 delivered) so I'll decide exactly what to do when I get them and after consulting my tyre fitter.

Or maybe not...... :angry2:

Just looking again at the listing I noticed, upside down, small and blurred the words "run flat" on the edge of one photo of the details on the sidewall!

There is no mention whatsoever in the listing that these are runflat tyres. :tuttut:

Again. Fingers crossed. Previous error has been reversed and refunded.

Found a single tyre of the right sort with over 6mm tread at a reasonable price; seller confirmed NOT a run-flat and has no damage, punctures or repairs. Just paid for it. +++
