Keyless entry but not exit.....
2007 D3 3.0TDi. Walking up to the car, I can open any door using the keyless systems and I can start the car. All without problem.
However, I can only lock the car using the button on the drivers door handle - none of the other door handle buttons seem to do anything. Is this a setting maybe or is there anywhere to look? I would have imagined the drivers button would stop working first as it must be the most used one. but....no! On mine it is the only one that does work. Michael |

Good logic and makes sense. I'll live with it as it is if it is a grand to resolve.

Both my front one have packed up - again - seems terminal.
The passenger still 'clicks' but the driver's side feels hard or already down. If anyone even replaces there, it would be good if you could cut the old one's button out and see how it works as it might allow us to figure out a repair or maintenance. |
ill keep an eye on this thread as my rear pass does not work:mad:

Didn't somebody post they got some extra life out of their keyless locking button by soaking it with wd40 ?
I can't find the post, but it rings a bell.... |

I sprayed mine with contact cleaner in the gap with the aerosol straw while using loads of kitchen roll to keep it off the paint, then used silicone spray to make it water repellent.
I have got the passenger one working 3 times over the years but not any more. I will try the driver's button, but seems to be a different problem, the button feels duff. |
I've only got one that works on my car. Two worked when I bought the car, but the driver's one has gone now. You can hear water squelching in it.
A new door handle is around £105 from Audi, plus spraying and fitting. |
I must be lucky in that all 4 of mine are still working, but the passenger rear is a bit squidgy when pressed. I do however have intermittent issues with the touch sensors based on the weather.

My driver's rear is the only one that works - not the end of the world but now I've figured out which works and don't I have an urge to fix.
Is there not a case to be made for fixing the existing units replacing the switch or whatever vs having to replace the entire handle unit? Without having one in front of me I don't know how sealed or 'serviceable' for want of a better word they are. |
