Hi Guys,
Anyone going to this on 13th/14th August.
Is there a A8/S8 stand/gathering/meeting at the show.
Not been before, so would appreciate anyone whose been before letting me know what to expect

I can arrange a club stand with Calvin who organises it so anyone who wishes to go pipe up on this thread and we'll get a list together.
(Unfortunately it also clashes with the A8 Germany Meet and the Wigan Show which some of us also go to)

AITP is on both days this year also, Saturday and Sunday (main day) so please state which day or days you wish to attend:

I was thinking about this but it depends if my gearbox works or not when I put the drivetrain back in...

I'm hoping to go with the AudiSRS group if I'm not in Greece. Ticket paid for.
If a bunch of 8's do turn up I might join them as well.

As far as I know the show is on both days but the main judging etc and prizes would still be on Sunday but anyone can go to either or both +++

Its a great display of every type of Audi out there

So...dumb question on a Friday evening...why is it on for the whole weekend, and not just the Sunday? If Sunday is the main day, why would you go for the Saturday as well? I can't find an agenda for the weekend - or is it not that kind of event? - I've been once, but can't remember (only went for a day, admittedly..)

This is the first time its been on for 2 days. I guess it was felt as people were going and in some cases camping, that many would like to make a weekend of it. The main day would be Sunday I guess because any judging now takes place over both days but I cant imagine that trophies would be awarded until Sunday.
There is a show and shine and club stands and trade stands, and the event is at a leisure venue so I imagine it will be a pretty relaxed affair, but it certainly is the biggest gathering of Audis anywhere in the UK each year.

If you have any questions I would direct them via the website or their facebook page though as I have been in Germany last year and will be again this year so I cant really comment with much up to date info! +++

....well, some do Andrew, but I'm sure you'd all be made most welcome if you don't have your own stand.

Also as I have gone to the trouble of registering us for advance tickets and Calvin has reserved a space for us separately of others I would prefer it if we could stay as our own group!!

Ive also arranged for the Aspect Valeting guys to be at both AITP and ADI if anyone wants their cars cleaned or valeted +++

Hi Guys,
Is it just a case of finding the A8/S8 location/stand in the field, or will someone direct me from the entrance.
Thinking of camping overnight on the Saturday, if anyone else is doing this can they post here.
Looking forward to bringing my new D2 S8 Final Edition to the show and seeing many other Audis.

When you arrive at the entrance to the actual show field ask for the location of the stand for A8 & S8 UK Owners, Calvin the organiser normally reserves an area for us on the edge of the field near the trees on the left +++

Update - no show.

Well I was there, but parked with AudiSRS.
Went over to see the Aspect Valeting team and they recognised me first - "Hi, you were in Wales, weren't you?" :cool:
Only saw two other A8's, a D2 and a D3 in the A8OC area, but didn't know either of them. :Confused:

Did see a lovely old (1984 maybe?) Audi 200 Turbo which the owner had for the last 30 years. :cool: He also has an S8 (D3 I think).

The 200 turbo, a seriously flawed car. Put your foot down and its pot luck that the torque steer will keep you on the road or off. Plus the loudest yet least effective climate system. And seats designed for people with banana backs. An unleasant place to be

HPSauce were you only there on the saturday? there were a couple of 8s with the AOC on sunday too

Only Sunday. ;) Too busy looking at cars to be sure which area I was in when I saw the 8's TBH. :o

ah ok, yeah there were 2 d3's and i almost forgot about alix and his d2 s8 in a dark green (ragusa?) - all on the sunday :)

I thought I saw a D2 with a boot spoiler and IIRC it was silver? Somewhere in the centre next to a D3. Neither car was familiar.

It was a good show not been for years and the last time was in my old D2 . I did see a number of A8's about and all looked wicked . I was there on the Sunday in a Black A6 C7 Allroad which I parked not far from the Aspect Valeting team . The kids and a great time looking at all the tricked out Audi's.++++++.

The Avus with red leather and boot spoiler would be barzya8's newly acquired car :)

And from what I've seen there was a silver PF D3 next to it +++
