Q7 Service manuals
Hi,
Just wonder if anybody knows a source of Q7 workshop manual pdf's like the set on the site for A8's Use them often for my A8 D3 4.2tdi but now missing the access for the wife's Q7 3.0 Tdi. Thanks in advance Sm |
Have you looked into installing ElsaWin??
It's Audi's complete workshop manual for all Audis. |
Have looked at erwin but struggle a bit with it.
|
Go to eBay
Type in ElsaWin Audi It's the software we are all using. You won't regret and it's on your hard drive so always accessible. |
If you google for "Q7 SSP" you will probably get some useful hits to get you started....

SSP = Self Study Program..... +++

Thats where you go if you want all the repair info on PDF Thats where all the A8 stuff here came from. You need a program that allows you to print to PDF, something like cutepdf. Once you have a program that allows print to pdf, buy access to erwin that allows printing. Then select the model you want and print all the documents to pdf. 30 euro's is not to much IMO and its the latest info they have. |
Thanks for the replies gents. Much appreciated.

I am currently using ElsaWin Version 4.
Is it worth buying the Version 5.3 from fleabay? |
Just bought 5.3. Quite a procedure to load mind.
£8.49 so thought it was worth a try. |
You can download it from internet as well but it can be a bit hit and miss from internet as it does not always work. I have done both internet and e-bay. I think the difference between 4.* and 5.* is how it handles database, 5.* moved to Microsoft SQL server. I suppose there should be some benefits from it but it takes longer to install and eats up more space on disc. It seams ( but I could be wrong) that if you installed data for 2 brands like VW and Audi on 4.* it would only keep 1 copy of data that was the same for both brands but on 5.* it keeps full copy for each brand.
I have also found that these un-official copies can vary in data they contain, one will be missing one data and other will be missing something else. Also it looks like there is a lot less info for newer cars as it was moved over to ODIS and erwin. |
Absolutely, a long winded pain.
I purchased Version 4.0 a couple of years back on disc. Yesterday I copied all three discs onto memory card that I used to install it on the notebook that I keep in the 8. I had not realised before but it included an update to Version 4.1. The Notebook is on Windows 10 Home and I did not need anything like Adobe SVG, Win 10 already had something in it to cover. It is running well. I notice on Fleebay that some of the posts claim that Version 5.3 includes a "Parts Catalogue", and some of the pictures show that the circuit diagrams are coloured. Can you possibly confirm these points? One of the advertisers claims that his is actually Version 4.0 but includes updates to 4.1, 5.0, 5.1, 5.2 and 5.3. His is on three discs. Others are downloadable but do offer full assistance in installing. Doing the basic install to 4.0 and then going through all the individual updates could be possibly time consuming. Another point is that on my Version 4.0 documents it states that "it must be loaded to and run on the OP system hard drive". My built-in "C" drive is relatively small, and I would prefer to operate ElsaWin from my 128GB "D" drive. I do this all the time with my desktop (i.e. keep all my programmes separate from my OS) and do not see any reason why they insist on using the "C" drive. Unless it is make it easier for the novice to load correctly. |
Well it's (5.3) installed and working, now just needed to learn how to fly it, will report back shortly
