But what she says and what she does are often 2 different things. More full of sh**e than most politicians IMHO. Witness today's announcements one education, health and welfare - and ask why she's done SFA about any of these to date.

At least there is a plan (innovation fund) to find a solution to re-charging vehicles in where there are lots of tenements. The last thing you'd want is to return home low on charge and find nowhere available.

2032 is an odd year to pick, why not 2030 seems like a bit of point scoring going on!?

I saw in the news today that Nissan have increased the range for the Leaf with a bigger 40kwh battery, range will only get better in time.

Its going to have to be bl00dy innovative as like anywhere where there are roads and roads full of 4-6 story flats/apartments the parking is nuts in Glasgow west end and there will be issues (there are already!) with bays being designated for the (fortunate?/wealthy?/forward looking?) few who have electric vehicles.

If that was in the UK, it would have double yellows lines next to the charge point so they can screw you for the privilege :D

There's only one realistic solution to that presently: battery-swapping.

I guess if you could build enough drive-through service stations that offer quick battery-swapping, Tesla-style, it's doable.

It would also be necessary to develop some means of preventing vehicles from becoming stranded, such as those parked for long periods away from a charging point. Perhaps a smaller 'reserve' battery that can easily be swapped by the owner. Something small enough to carry indoors to charge that will provide enough power to get to a battery-swap station.

Haha! Each to their own Brian. Or maybe not - how about we swap the lovely Nicola with you for the not-so-lovely Cruella? (who's not exactly popular down here... ;) ) - http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk...-a7850921.html

yeah they both make Corbyn look like a viable option..not sure I would have said that a couple of years ago..but the world is a weird place.. Trump, Brexit etc, just glad I am in the Autumn of my years, not sure I could imagine how much worse it might get for my poor boys..hope my S8 and RS6 last long enough for me to leave them in my will;)
