A8 Germany Calendars 2018
A8 Germany will have a Calendar for 2018. The thread can be found here.
I'm not sure which pictures will be in from UK A8s / S8s but it looks like some will be in it. If either of you wishes to have a calendar please let me know. It'd be advisable to order pre 20th of October because of the price. |
I'm not allowed to enter this page :(
|
Same here
|
I'll have one +++
Can't see the thread without logging in. |
I would like one too please +++
|
Price is 20 € /calendar + freight if ordered prior to 20th of October.
Pictures can be suggested towards Mario4E until Friday 14th It's up to three pictures per month. |
Wow!
Quite a stringent entry/vetting process by our friends across the channel: "Hallo Wir möchten dich recht herzlich auf der Website der A8-Germany Gemeinde begrüßen. Mit freundlichen Grüßen Das Admin-Team" Translated by Google Translate to: "Hello We would like to welcome you to the website of the A8-Germany community welcome. To conclude your registration please answer the following questions. 1. How did you find us? 2. How long have you been driving an Audi A8? 3. What year has your A8? 4. Where are you from? 5. What is the special feature of your A8? 6. Please enter your name and phone number, where you can be reached. All data will be used confidentially and will only be used for the Admins visible statistics. We would be glad to hear from you. If this e-mail is not answered within one month, the account will be deleted. Best regards The admin team" Well, I suppose you can't let any old riffraff in. I think I may just add my blood group, town of birth and sexuality in my reply just to save any future confusion  |
Ah, that may explain why I'm still not allowed to view the calendar thread, despite registering a couple of days ago!
Where was that info Dean? I can log in but can't view the thread: https://i.imgur.com/1FeV5la.png https://i.imgur.com/VmG6dOP.jpg |
Please don't use the payment details in the thread. I'll collect the money myself when the time has come.
Neil or MikkiJayne, would either of you kindly deal with Royal Mail and forward the calendars? There are no pictures on the German thread yet. But there seems to be a link between orders and pictures as the A8 Germany Forum is a small community (the A8 Freunde is the bigger one). |

Where was that info Dean? I can log in but can't view the thread: https://i.imgur.com/1FeV5la.png Hi Mark I received an email to the email I address I used to register on the site. The email was from: email@a8-germany.de The email came about 24hrs after registering (could an email have gone to your spam/junk folder?). I too can log in but can't see anything else. I would like a calendar too. I would also like my car in/on the calendar if they haven't finalised it yet +++ |
Thanks Dean :)
No junk folder as such but there is some degree of spam filtering on my server. If that blocked it for some reason, it's gone. I've filled in some more of my profile info regardless. It would be nice to see a preview of the calendar, but either way, I want one +++ |
Neil to the front again, well volunteered, or did everyone else step backwards.
Would be good if it could be arranged like that. One point of contact for ordering, paying and collecting the finished calendar. I'll wait for confirmation from Neil/Djinny as to how we manage this. Shame that we have a short deadline but personally I'm not bothered about the content as long as it is full of 8s. |

Thanks Vera -
Donated to Cancer Research UK and Help For Heroes at my end +++ |
Donation made to Samaritans.
|
Vera is in the process of sending these over to me in a bundle.
I can bring them to the Xmas meet at the leopard on sat 30th December or post them out to people / distribute them via others I meet up with otherwise +++ |
Will there be enough in the bundle for me to have one Neil, or was I too late? :)
I haven't paid/donated anything yet but will gladly do so. |
OMG they just arrived.
The ones who have ordered one will love it! There's a last opportunity to get one until 24th (I need to know until evening of 23rd of November so I can pass it on to Mario). Full of awesome sedans! There's also two tiny pictures in it from an Irish beach with lovely 8s. And several tiny pictures from lots of 8s parking at Bramburgh Castle... and T5MS0 somehow made in ;-) so whoever feels addressed... until evening of 23th! P.S. Moltuae you were on the list, so you already got one. |

Been trying to make a donation to Cancer Research but there seems to be an issue with their website. I've contacted them to let them know ... will try again later. Can I also make a donation to whoever has paid to have these produced, to at least help cover their costs a little? Neil, I don't think I'll be able to make the Xmas meet this year. I'm in no rush for the calendar though. |

Donating via https://donation.cancerresearchuk.org/ works, you just need to enter what exactly you are going to donate for first (below the pink amount, further down the page) Just done so for testing purposes. |

Yeah, that was the site I was using. There was a problem with the site earlier (timing-out) but it's working now. Donation successful! +++ When I said "Can I also make a donation to whoever has paid to have these produced, to at least help cover their costs a little?", I didn't mean an official donation (as in a donation to a charitable organisation), I just mean I'd like to send a payment to whoever produced the calendar too, to go towards the costs of producing it. Do they perhaps have a Bitcoin address I could send a small Bitcoin donation to? |
Not sure if we will be able to make the Leopard this Xmas, depends on Gwen's health. She's much better and I managed to get her out for an hours shopping yesterday.
The calendar is a keepsake for me, not a working one so delivery time is totally unimportant. Charity donations are funny things, I have given much more to different charities than I originally envisioned for this year. Then whilst out on Sunday I came across some thirty Bassett hounds at a garden centre that had gathered to support an old lady two bassett owner that had been diagnosed with the Big C. God I'm a softie, dug deep once more. Bloody cruel world out there. Makes me realise how lucky we are. |
Calendars have now arrive c/o Vera (Thanks Vera) and are looking amazing!
and I can either bring them to the Xmas meet on the 30th at the Leopard if anyone who ordered one is planning to be there, or post them out otherwise via royal mail - if you need that option then please pm me only with your details Thanks +++ |

I've just seen my car on September. Well chuffed. I see V8 GUD is shown a few times too along with some other beauties (especially the lovely shade of blue S8 on January). That's a nicely put together calendar. |
