The S8 was earning her keep this weekend.

Even though it痴 my pride and joy she still has to do family duties....like collecting the annual Christmas tree:D

1) Your S8 is a wonderful example.

Please no Christmas car tinsel James

Nothing between the car and the tree except the netting and my reasons for this are:
i) I have a glass sunroof where the bulk of the weight was.
ii) She will be getting a lovely detailing session in the summer +++

To be honest I知 more surprised that no one has asked how I gained access to the car :D

Edit: forgot to mention that only an A8/S8 can make a 9+ foot tree look small

Tree now fully erect.

The windows were open, I知 assuming dukes of hazard style

9ft+ tree! Only The Laird has ceilings high enough for one of those!

I was guessing you were either already in the car and were passed the bungies or you used Dukes of Hazzard style....?!

Either way, at least we got to see 5 seconds of Catherine Bach!

RICKY D 5th December 2017 10:02 PM

It was indeed done in true Dukes of Hazard style :D

Hmmm Catherine Bach

As a detailer please believe... We are only human. The hardest part of our job is sharing the news that the "bit of tlc and buff" that the customer believes / hopes will remove marks will in truth stretch the limits of the paint thickness to work with...:-(

Simply stunning car tho!! ++++++

Before we moved south last February, we had even bigger trees. Our ceilings on the ground floor were 11 foot plus, so we’ve had some big trees! One year we had to cut a few inches off to make it fit.

But this year (well, strictly, last year), in our far more modest (and sensible) retirement home, we bought ba 6 foot tree which fitted fine. But we still travelled a good distance to find a ‘Scottish Larch Pole Pine’ that SWHTBO insists on!

This is the only photo we have of our Christmas tree. +++
