A few more clues from the route

moltuae 30th April 2018 07:35 AM

Is it Scotland? :D

Great photos +++

Looks like you had better weather up there this weekend than we had.

mattylondon 30th April 2018 08:09 AM

French Renaissance architecture, must be Dunrobin Castle +++

Architex_mA8tey 30th April 2018 12:15 PM

Can you please park Brian's car in the middle for all future pictures so as not to upset my OCD (chrome grille - black grille - chrome grille) :D

HPsauce 30th April 2018 12:40 PM

Sutherland! A fair trek from Glasgow, let alone the Vale of Belvoir!

tintin 30th April 2018 12:56 PM

Och....

Lovely photos, and I'm really sorry that I couldn't join you all on this trip - watching Celtic demolish Rangers at Parkhead yesterday was probably just as much fun, but working at clients today the Midlands just isn't at all! :-(

Enjoy - and more pictures please...

My first thought on seeing that first photo along with the title of the thread was:

'Out casing a joint somewhere'

Couldn't be more appropriate. +++

Looking over Lochinver harbour as I type+++

HPsauce 30th April 2018 07:49 PM

Excellent, we love it round there. +++ Are you in the Gulag?

Go into Highland Stoneware tomorrow and say hello and thank you to Tracey from me for our special order mugs that arrived today (original 1974 design)!

Then buy something nice from them.

Forgot to ask, are you planning to go along the "Wee Mad Road" south from Lochinver along the coast towards Achiltibuie?
I can confirm that it is totally passable in an S8, having done it a few times. :eek:

Glorious looking weather you're having... and the cars look nice as well.

It's a fantastic bit of coastline. Will you be going over the pass at Applecross?

Sorry about the duplicate photo - can’t seem to work out how to delete it!
Neil, please note our efforts to comply with your OCD!

Good stuff, just watch out for the motorhomes, had some interesting experiences squeezing the eight past the ones I met going over the pass.

Totally worth it though.

Thanks for the support!! :D
Awesome pics chaps keep them up and have fun, definitely a route that I want to do myself one day soon +++

47p2 2nd May 2018 09:15 AM

Done the route numerous times long before it was named the NC500, the roads were peaceful, quiet and enjoyable back then but today's traffic on single tracks with passing places isn't much fun. Wouldn't recommend the route during the peak summer season

Cracking scenery. Really liked the area in image 671. There are so many possibilities for photos at that one spot.
