Car cleaning at the meet

Hi all,

Bert has arranged for local PVD member Lawrence Bentley of Black Diamond Detailing to come and clean cars for us at the hotel on the Saturday morning :)

As we have limited time available and some people had already asked about this, we have two slots available for a 20 minute safe wash and dry (inc snow foam pre-wash and QD Spritz) for £15, before we set off at 10:00:

09:20
09:40

MJ :)

Could you book me in for the 09:40 please.
It's raining here and spoiled my handiwork.

Alright thanks both +++

Blimey, they went quick! I’ll be first reserve please. :)

I think it should go to those who've travelled furthest😄 I'm up to 540miles so far and am only in Exmouth. 🚗🚗🚐🚛🚛🚑

I get your point but I am being a bit selfish for once.
When are you travelling down?
I'm setting off Thursday morning and visiting the Wye Valley and Chepstow.

Was only joking Ray. 😁 Look forward to seeing you on Friday.

I realised that, just wanted to stick the boot in.
I'm really annoyed, I've spent days sorting the car for this weekend, having to dodge the sun and hot weather. Finally put the last effort in on Monday and Tuesday it persisted down and I had to run a couple of errands, so back to square one.
Well not really but soul destroying.

Only 2 slots??

Any on Friday night

MikkiJayne 5th June 2019 08:47 PM

Unfortunately Saturday only, and we already had several bookings before even finding a detailer to do the work.

We will have water and power in the car park so Bert is taking a pressure washer in case the weather is ok for washing them ourselves on Friday night which is what I plan to do.

I also have washing facilities at the workshop, again weather dependent.

Mine's coming in around the 600 mile mark, but don't know if that includes the actual ferry crossing as well. As for the car, it's been getting washed by mother nature non-stop for the past two days!

UPDATE: Make that three days now!! Just went to put stuff in the car for tomorrow and it's pi**ing down out there.

Michelin says mine is 342 miles but I'll increase that with travelling via Chepstow. Bit of sight seeing for Jordan.
We also have to detour locally so that Jordan can see what we have been doing with rebuilding Craig's (his dad) house.

Was planning anearlyish night but that has been scuppered, the kids decide d they needed all the plans printing on A3 in case the building inspector did a surprise visit. Bloody red tape.

Ours too, we've been in town watching Beating The Retreat in Horse Guards and just got home before midnight!
