LED Bulb upgrade advice needed
 

Hi All,
just fitted 50w hid's to dip beams & 35w hid's to front fogs on my 4.2qs,Outstanding results lights much improved.

Just curious as to what sidelight bulbs others are using std 501's now look very yellow,maybe LED but unsure if led's will set fault on dis panel.

Anyone tried led's in rear lamps

For my 501s, i have used quad LED jobbies but they only direct light straight ahead.

As you can see, they look a little more blue than i had hoped (even though it says 'bright white' on the packaging) and don't illuminate the entire light cluster hence looking to change.

Today, I received a set of these multi-directional jobbies which i'm hoping look a bit better...I have not fit them yet.

Im interested to see the results too. Im also tempted to play with the interior bulbs, to get a whiter interior lighting. But theres always a risk of making it feel a bit tacky in there.

Conclusion:

Whiter than before, brighter than before and matches the OEM xenons better. You can - if you are really picky - still sometimes see a lightest blue tint but it's nowhere near what it was before.

Still, worth the £4 IMO. +++

amar are you sure they will fit your lights ?
i got some of them and they did not fit my lights. mine were the ones that you push in and twist. that is the type of led side lights that i have.

I think mine just push in but can't remember exactly. But my car has the factory Xenons just like Oli's, non Xenon Pluses like yours. I should have brought yours off you instead! How long does shipping take Oli?

I've have just done this to. Ordered them months ago and they came while I was away. I ordered these.

They are pure white when compared with my 5400K HIDs but look a lot better then the yellow that I had before.

Looking good Mike, cheers Oli. I really want to upgrade the main beam to a Xenon type. I have brought some 90% brighter main beam flash lights from Halfords but its not the same.
