New years resolutions ???
So, did anybody set any?
Its nearly February... Is anyone still sticking to theirs ? +++ I'm on the usual 'weight loss' 'excercise more' routine, and after a shaky start the past two weeks have been quite successful.... So, whats everyone else trying to do / not do ? |
Be Less Grumpy
Be less Grumpy. By feck that didn't last long! Never thought it would being such a stupid resolution. Who ever thinks these ideas up? To much time on their hands that's what! Should all know better..... Mutter Mutter Mutter:mad:

Same same Ian. Salads, excercise etc. So far been walking in lake district - proper hiking, and not eaten any junk. So pretty pleased with my self
|
Move more... Eat less :)
Working so far, but not lost any weight from it :).. Should maybe add drink less to that. |
I set my new years resolution last year regarding going to the gym... I'm still working on going to my induction lesson. Oh I also said I'd spend less on the 8 but that didn't happen either...

Never to buy anything with less than eight cylinders again unless it makes over 170bhp at the crank per litre. Apart from that smoke and drink more and finally get fat. No really, been a 30" waist for 17 years now and I want a gut.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ What he said....... +++
I've lost 2 stones in 3 weeks, and what bloody hard work it was... Of course, I'll pile it all back on as soon as I actually eat anything again... :D |
2 stone in 3 weeks!?
How? |

Cant stand muchin lettuce for 4 weeks to find I've lost a pound.... |
Just be careful how you come off the diet... Pretty common to throw a good half-stone back on when you come off it.
Best method is the 'move more, eat less' diet. Sucks, but that way your body doesn't get confused. |

Yup, Mr yoyo diet... Thats me :D - Feeling more confident now as I am feeling a lot fitter than I was..... I'm actually craving going for a run on a daily basis at the moment... very weird... |

I have an unofficial resolution to get myself down to the 14st mark. Not doing too badly since the latter part of last year I went from 17st 6lb to 15st 10lb :D Even through Xmas, I've only put a couple of pounds back on, and have still maintained my 42 -> 38 inch waist loss......yay me!!! Unfortunately, a thigh injury early this year scuppered most of my excercise regime :( Just started the badminton up again though, so should start losing it again soon.....just need to stop topping up on Sainsbury's taste the difference cookies, with 39p off!!! |
Thats awesome, especially to keep it off..... At my peak, I was bursting a 40" waste, determined not to make 42, so I guess knocking on the door of 19 stone....
I made it down to 14.5 Stone in 2005 and ran the great north run..... and then successfully made it back up to 18.5 stone again <doh> So, I'm back at 16.5 and falling... I guess making this public will make it harder to fail.... Dam those cut price cookies +++ |
Food... That's the killer... My downfall is the Walkers sensations crisps.. Our local shop often has them on special.. We buy a load of bags and eat them all :) (the big bags!) And then I need a bottle of wine to go with it.
Funny thing about getting fit... Makes you want to stay fit, and it's easier to keep it up and for some weird reason, it makes you feel good. |

So thats from 18st 7lb to 15st 12lb in just over 5 weeks - I've been hitting the excercise pretty hard and feel kinda fit now which is nice.... Did 22 miles on the moutain bike round Dalby forest at the weekend without any difficulty... +++ |
My new year's resolution was not to make any new year's resolutions....
Didn't work though:Confused:..... |
