I wouldn't mind a trip over to the west coast, around Westport and Achill Island.

Architex_mA8tey 8th April 2011 03:53 PM

I'd be interested in an 8 trip over there sometime :D

The only thing I found wrong, is that some of the roads are very bumpy !!
Not what you need when you have a slammed vehicle.

Hope you dont mind VW pics on this forum??

cathedral60 9th April 2011 11:16 AM

The roads, especial the minor roads can be rough, but when you find the perfect stretch its nice

tonupkid 9th April 2011 12:08 PM

I like the thing where everyone drives in the outside lane, and slower cars pull into the left lane to let you pass

I tried the left lane at high sped and was airborne for most of the time :ROFL:

Anyone who wants to post a photo of a slammed splitty is duty bound to do so. There is only one better vehicle. A slammed splitty on air with a Porsche 6 pot turbo! Muhahahahahahaha.

September would be perfect +++

tonupkid 9th April 2011 09:31 PM

Septembers free for me too and the sooner I can get a date down I can stop other stuff getting put in there

Could this by any chance involve pubs, Irish music and Guinness....? Yum

Whereabouts in the Emerald Isle do you hale from Cathedral?

cathedral60 9th April 2011 09:57 PM

Londonderry, Northern Ireland just on the border with Co Donegal. But also have a holiday home in donegal as well

Architex_mA8tey 9th April 2011 10:41 PM

Can I suggest the Long weekends of either Fri 2nd to Mon 5th OR Fri 9th to Monday 12th September inclusive? I guess a few of us would ferry over together on the Friday and stay Fri, sat and sunday night and come back monday again? :D+++

Conan_the_Librarian 10th April 2011 06:55 AM

Fri 9th to Mon 12th sounds good. How about out via Fishguard to Rosslare, drive over to Limerick to visit builder22 (Niall), Saturday up to Donegal, Sunday to Dublin, Monday Dublin to Rosslare?

Ferries would be approx £200 + 3 nights B&B + Fuel and Beer!!!! :D+++

Architex_mA8tey 10th April 2011 08:28 AM

sounds like a great plan Mike - Can we split these posts off from here into a new thread in Owners meets and start a list of those interested Mike? I'll add it to the Diary as a possible date (Ive added the scottish meet there too Jim) +++

Heres a link to the possible route ExpolrA8tion Ireland!
