Dont forget lads that because of the euro you might pick up a nice used S8 like this one for €3900 (which is approx £3300 when you come over. :D I've spoke to the guy and he's willing to do it for £3000 & it has a brand new mot on it

Merlin Purple. My favourite colour. If that were a quattro it's not a big job to swap out to a 4.2 V8. All you need is the ECU, Instrument cluster, exhaust and 4.2 V8! :rolleyes:

Sorry Im a bit confussed. Its a a S8 arent they all 4.2 v8 quattro?

When I first clicked on that link I got a 2.8 A8 from 1995. It's an S8 now????? :Confused:

Looks good. If its had its cambelt done (due at 80K) it would certainly be better than trying to import. Do you have the ROI issues of import tax? If not then it's worth a look. You won't regret it. I'd check out the lowering to ensure it's been done properly.

i fortunate to live in northern ireland so no import tax or anything like that
Was considering this one a while back but feel in love with the look of the D3 when I found out that I could get a nice one for around £6000

Fishguard's only just up the road from me, but unfortunately due to a massive downturn in work & an ill Mrs, I definitely cannot attend - unless some sort of miracle occurs - what a bummer!

Having said that, it might be a good opportunity to meet some of rhe other '8' enthusiasts on the forum, maybe if it is only at the port.....

For those that use V-Power, its available enroute at 'The Forge' filling station on the A40 at St Clears, Carmarthenshire, Preselli Filling station on the A40 at Llandewi Velfrey Pembrokeshire, or (slightly off the direct route where I fill up) at Johnston near Haverfordwest Pembrokeshire, alternatively Tesco's stock their 'momentus' higher octane unleaded at Haverfordwest.

LPG is also available, but I'll get back to you with locations enroute

Looks like this one is going to be on hold/re-scheduled due to various peoples diaries and finances.

From my point of view I'm totally stuffed for the dates we had chosen due to work but peversely will be in Dublin that whole weekend Friday to Monday working at an exhibition! (oh well at least I still get some black stuff!) :D

I wouldnt mind aiming for early spring next year but i'm open to offers/ideas.

Never mind gents (& ladies), I was looking forward to meeting up & driving to the port with you guys....
Let me know when you're heading through again, and I'll be there to meet you all, come hell or high water, and a few '8's :)
