just to find out what people think but the time may have come for me to sell the one i love ( for those that dont know me i am not on about the mrs +++)
i think i may be due for an upgrade but i will have to see how much money i can muster.

I would like to know how much i will get for my s8. some of you have seen her over the past few years and most of you have heard about her and some of you lucky ones have driven her +++
i just dont know whether to sell her or keep her for longer. please give me some advise ? and most of all tell me how much she is worth ?

I assume the upgrade you're looking at is a D3? I'd stick with the D2 for a bit longer :)

I'm new on here so could you please post up the spec of the car with some more pics?

The upgrade i am looking at may well not happen so at the moment i can not say but if i do get it then i will be very happy with but its very expensive +++

Plus since then i have upgraded the brakes with ebc drilled and grooved discs front and rear, ebc yellow stuff pads all round, vw pheaton cooling ducts.

I have had a full de-cat done and stage 2 re-map at revo-technik. this increases fuel economy and make a masive difference in how she drives.

my s8 goes to revo this week to has a small leak in my steering repaired and have a full health check done, then she is up for sale at a set price of £5500 to the first person with cash !

As the question is bound to be asked, what's the mileage at the moment and when was the cambelt changed?

from memory she has done 112k miles. had full service, gearbox oil change, cambelts, water pump and thermostat done in august. had full service, full gearbox service, brake service and fitting of brake cooling ducts last month by ben.

£5,500 is a very very good price, considering the colour, spec, history and health check. I'd snap it off if I were in the market. James this one is certainly worth a look, even if a member goes to see one for you. We won't be able to give it a health check so you may still end up up with a bill for cv joints/boots/gearbox seals/sticky callipers etc...

5500 is a good price considering how well we know the history, and the extras that have been added.

If it doesn't go, then I might just buy the replacement car :)

just a few things i forgot

comes with phatnoise : this a hard drive sound system conected to the rns-d that you can store thousands of songs on( full of westlife songs :p)

comes with servotronic power steering: this reduces the amount of power steering as the speed increases. make parking very easy and gives better feel when driving.

all bulbs have been changed to LED: all interior lights, rear number plate lights. front fog lights are HID

All tires are filled with nitrogen

since i have owned it (two and a half years) she only ever run on shell v-power of bp ultimate( keeps all internals nice and clean)

also due to the stage 2 remap this is possibly the most economical D2 S8 out there and can easily get 30 mpg on a run.

James if you are interested then pm me and i can let you have any information you require. Also i may be havin a trip within the next week or so to scotland on other buisness so maybe i could show you the car and you can take her for an extended test drive +++

Just back from trip to S.France, will be getting my A8 up on the ramps this weekend coming to see if we can salvage the gearbox - if it's curtains, then I may be interested, so please keep us updated if the S8 sells.

may i quote you on the 30mpg !! i also would like a remap in my 40valve 4.2 A8 im wandering if i de-cat mine and get it remapped will i too be seeing over 30mpg given that i have the longer gear ratio's ?

I always thought that the a8 was more economical than the S8 so with a remap and a good service you should see better figures +++

30 mpg should be easy in a 4.2 A8. In an S8, even with the remap I cannot believe it. Reffro doesn't get 30, Darrens is a special car!
