Who can tell me what isn't quite 'right' about this US S8

LWB with S8 wheels and mirrors looks daft... Am I close ?

and the profile on the tyres is too small...

LWB was never sold with S8 wheels or mirrors so someone has tried to turn it into one - Ian is spot on LOL

Sad to say a LWB S8 would be my ideal configuration....to give my 2 kids in their car seats enough room in the back with my 6'5" frame dictating that the driver's seat has to be all the way back.

I didnt think they got the sat nav in the states?

I looked at this last night and started to reply, then thought my eyes were deceiving me in thinking it had stretched rear doors! Tyres do look too low profile as well, but guess it could just be riding too high?

I've seen a couple of cars with the GPS receiver mounted that don't even have nav! Not sure if it does other things too or bits have just been added/removed over time....

I think that all of the LWBs had sat nav didnt they?

They didnt get the full colour screen 5" RNS-D in the USA - What they did get was the cheaper text based solution, similar to the text one in the prefacelift S8's in the UK. This is why you see a GPS aerial on this unit, and you will find lots of forums in the US for owners busily hacking away to get USA map discs to work on retro-fitted RNS-D... +++

Nope, with UK spec it was optional.

LWB gave you things like rear blinds, glass sunroof, multifunction steering wheel with rear controls in the armrest, electric rear headrests/lumbar.

It also gave the (very comfortable imo) comfort seats, which weren't found on any other D2... +++

You also got the little button in the rear passenger side door to move the passenger seat forward...

Yeah, you all guessed it right. Thought that would have been hard. Its a LWB with S8 bits. Oh shucks :(

It is a LWB...US car...

they dont make a long wheel base S8 only the A8 comes in LWB so its a pretendy S8 with the wrong wheels on also its looks like a face lift but why are the indicators orange ? arent they clear normally ???

US indicators are orange at the front, and rear lights are more red than ours..... Amar has been doing an international trade exchanging US for UK bits as they want ours and he wants theirs ;)

Correct, got a pair of US rears waiting for my next D2, whenever that may be...

Can I "borrow" them? lol :D
