That's the actuator for the vacuum system for the intake manifold thingy... You'll without it, but get mince MPG and performance.
Easy to replace. |

I think you can get the little links seperately... CtL will no doubt be along soon and can check on ELSA.

I am sure CtL is busy bashing down the drag strip at GTI International.
I am not sure of car details, below is for 2003, it appears from 2004 they use electrical units instead of vacuum. I am afraid links are not available separately from Audi. Only as a repair kit which is quite expensive Please see pdf's below. You might be able to find some aftermarket solution cheaper or try A8parts. |
Sorry, price page did not work. And the one I posted is for late D2's. D3 appears all to have electrical units. If You get car details I can try to dig deeper.
