uhhhhhohh :(

Has anyone fitted a radiator? any pointers would be lovely, how much trans fluid is in the oil cooler and will i loose? Is this a nose off job or just unbolt and lower/lift it out? without wanting to sound too dramatic....HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLL LLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPPP

Have not done it but instructions are in pdf below.
If You need any more instructions for the jobs involved like removing bumper or checking ATF level let me know I will post more pdf's here.

By radiator I take it you mean the coolant radiator as there are 3 seperate radiators. Coolant/ATF, AC and Power steering.

This a a picture of the coolant radiator

You can see it is an entity in its own right and can be removed from the cowling. You may be able to remove the radiator without effecting the AC or Power steering.

Thanks ainarssems, thats a great help, looks like the air con just gets out of the way.....the other 2 pdfs would be most welcome too. Shame I have to split the trans lines, bit of extra work for no reason! Perhaps if i get it on ramps the fluid might run back into the gearbox! :D

If you take the top one out first and use some LP air judiciously it might!

here you go

again ainarssems, thanks for that! From the top up pdf it looks like the trans fluid is thermostatically controlled? if so I should hopefully only loose the fluid in the cooler and not much more.....I had visions of the entire gearbox draining out and me stood in a puddle of ATF silently screaming! looks like i won't need it on ramps to stop the flow of trans fluid!? (and as for the airline suggestion..........leaving aside my intuition that it would be catastrophic.....health and safety suggests NO!) I get the feeling i may need a bit of luck, 4 arms and a my first book of radiator swaps for this one :/

well I can honestly say that was one of the easier radiators I've had to change. I was expecting much complication and heartache but it was entirely straightforward. So far no leaks from disturbed gubbins and I took the cheeky opportunity to give the old girl a quick service whilst it was in bits, all in all a 100% sucessful mission :D

And as a bit of tragic evidence to it's untimely demise....

http://forum.a8parts.co.uk/attachmen...1&d=1310161193

Strangely the expanding pool of coolant that started this adventure was coming out from the other side of the car to the leak!
