Hi Guys and Gals,
Weekends would be difficult for me, but were the meet on a week day, I may well be game for almost anywhere in England, up 4 hours from central England.

Singh 8th December 2011 11:41 PM

This happening then? Midlands seems to be the best shout I can do weekends this weekend (short notice) or the 17/18th next weekend I'm free will be the 7-8th Jan. Might be able to do Thur Friday weekdays too.

barzya8 9th December 2011 12:29 PM

I thought the meeting was between Xmas & New Year. Has this now changed?

Yes I did intend it to be between Xmas and New Year as more people tend to be off work etc with a few hours to kill. At the moment we have just 8 people who want to meet though - are there any more? if there are 2 meetings then it looks like a north south split so Id rather try and get as many together in one place as possible - I just wish more of you would try and commit to a meet here so we can arrange something decent!

HPsauce 9th December 2011 06:12 PM

"Midlands" seems to be a theme though...

Personally I'd rather not go much North of say Warwick, but if it drifted further East I could justify it by making calls around Leicester way.

Singh 9th December 2011 08:24 PM

Oi Neil, you missed me off the list. :(

I am working so it has to be 23rd, 26th or 30th for me but mother in law is coming to visit on 23rd and leaving in 26th and needs drive from/to airport so not sure if I am of the hook on those dates which leaves 30th.

daviesbike 10th December 2011 11:59 AM

birmingham area would not be a problem for me,nore would the Shrewsbury area, if we keep it central to every ones location then it would be easer for all of us i think, if every one posts up where they live and just find the central area to every one, just an idea ?

A8_Tony 11th December 2011 08:57 PM

Anywhere between 28th on +++

chalkywhyte 12th December 2011 08:14 PM

day out

hi all could be up for a day out aswell depending on situation at home chalky
+++

Architex_mA8tey 12th December 2011 08:25 PM

great to hear chaps keep em comin!

So its looking like somewhere in the Midlands on 30th Dec at the moment to try and get the most people meeting up from those that have indicated so far.

I shall do a bit of research and find somewhere interesting to meet up :D

Singh 12th December 2011 08:47 PM

Pahh, I'll come on the 29th along with the RS, can't do the 30th. :(

daviesbike 12th December 2011 09:01 PM

if you can all have the pictures sorted for me in the other thread then i can have the calenders made and bring them with me for the next meet if its on the 29th ?

2x votes for the 29th. +++

HPsauce 12th December 2011 09:49 PM

Just a thought.......
Is there a collective noun for A8's?

Given the preponderance of Private Plates, maybe an obscurity of Audis?

PS Can probably make either 29th or 30th but Shrewsbury would be too far for me.
(but as a newbie I don't get much of a vote)

As a potential "virgin" can I ask what the protocol is regarding passengers/co-drivers, or does it vary by event/location?
For this one drivers only? Family, friends, partners - but only if they're petrolheads and/or love/drive A8's?

We've had everything from bored girlfriends and kids to Ainsreem's dog and BMW owners, no rules, really. +++

Dezzy 13th December 2011 08:36 AM

And can't that dog bark, you can hear it through S8 double glazing. Although i was in a tent.

With the young kids and me working away from home i don't think i can do this one chaps, unless is was going to be North Cornwall or something.

daviesbike 13th December 2011 10:30 AM

the misses tends to come with me to keep an eye on me, and she like's to come see Mandy if she is coming along with the W12 Stallion +++

barzya8 13th December 2011 10:53 AM

Tried to Post this earlier without success. Hope its not duplicated

Hi Guys & Girls,
As a new comer to the forum, with little or no clout.
If the meeting between Xmas & New Year was to be held in Shrewsbury, this would be a 360 mile round trip for me. This would prove too far for me to travel. :-(
If the census is to make it a National Meet, which I support, then Birmingham seems to be somewhat central to most of those that have shown interest in attending.

Just as a suggestion, what about The National Motorcycle Museum at Coventry Road, Bickenhill, Solihull, West Midlands B92 0EJ.
This venue also has a large car park. Would need to check if it will be open though as I believe they have a gated entrance
This is still a 250 mile round trip for me from Guildford, Surrey but I would be prepared to make the journey to meet a lot more like minded S8/A8 drivers from the forum. +++

Just a proposal

David (barzyA8)

I hope you don't mean Darren Guylina :p
Hope you mean the car haha. ;)

Architex_mA8tey 13th December 2011 11:14 AM

I'm thinking of us meeting up at one of the venues some of us came to at the annual meet as some know where it is and it's central and has parking
Could be the Leopard Inn near Gaydon, or possible the hotel we used at Stoneleigh agricultural show ground (lots of space to park etc) so this should be Warwickshire with easy access off the M40. M1 M5 and M6
Can I please have an indication of who can come on which date on the list below

29th December
Architex mA8tey

30th December
Architex mA8tey

.

ainarssems 13th December 2011 11:31 AM

30th for me as stated above

daviesbike 13th December 2011 12:41 PM

yes i mean the car not Darren haha

just confirmed my dates for work over x mas and the dates i have free are the 26th 27th 31st sadly on the 30th im taking the misses for a photo shoot in Chester

are those dates an option ?

briang9 13th December 2011 12:45 PM

Its a possible on either day at the moment for us Neil, but as its a near 700 mile round trip for us, (take note all you wimps who think around 360 miles is too far) :pso would probably have to come down day before so would depend on location for us to get a hotel, Stoneleigh dont appear to have any rooms left, but there are some at Travel Lodges, Premier Inns near, but would need to know fairly soon on a date and location before rooms either get booked or go up in price

cheers

Dezzy 13th December 2011 12:57 PM

You can camp there Brian
